We used to go to the Fur and Feathers shows in the town hall on Saturday evenings in the autumn back in the 1960's. Also Wolsingham Agricultural Show was a big thing back then too.
Seems to be a misconception that the Parish Hall was converted into apartments. It was converted into 3 separate dwellings with the main 2 storey building with bell tower being the larger of the 3.
St Anne’s were a convent once then high school for girls. There were a pub called wear valley inn which were next t robsons (my parents lived that pub). The kings head closed down and became peggottys bakery near the toilets It’s a nice place t live. Yes the bank there were used for a long time.
Yes, in the grounds of Holywood Hall (which was the home of Charles Attwood - the founder of Wolsingham Steelworks). When the Sanatorium was closed, the land was sold off as plots for executive houses and is now the Holywood estate.
I play a little game . . . And guess what score you are going to give these places and I got this one, and a couple of others, Right ‼️ I think I found that house - on for £150,000 (Venture)
@@NorthernExposure1 Yep, and it's quite nice inside - woodburning stove, nice kitchen (red) but bathroom a little dated. My homepage is Rightmove, and I'm looking for a place at the mo - can't afford this one though . . . 😏
