todavia resuena tu mas que injusta partida , Lou estas cosas que dejaste como esta version sublime con Antony hacen creer que todavia podemos dar para agradecer, gracias.
Antony lives this song so he's the perfect choice to sing it. The emotion on Lou Reed's face when it's over is unmistakable. Antony's performance obviously touched him deeply. This is a richer, darker version than the one on 'The Velvet Underground' album, which is also great. The bowed electric double bass adds so much atmosphere to this song. Wonderful! "What do you think I'd see, if I could walk away from me?"
@bartonone2005 Completely agree. I think the reason it's richer and darker, is because Lou hadn't performed this live since the recording and had grown a lot since... bringing back the emotions of the time and having someone with such an amazing voice as Antony really brought the meaning out. At several points throughout the whole performance, Lou looks emotionally distressed. This is one of my favourite albums and knowing the stories behind it, it really makes me "feel" something.
@PolarOpposites12 I think grambini adressed the vocalist in this song - not LR, who's doing backup vocals here. I guess he's the 1 dislike this *v*v*v*FABULOUS*v*v*v* song and interpretation received.
ive never seen lou so happy
The darkness, the emotion and the beauty of this performance must make it once of the most musically intense experiences ever. Fly, bluebird, fly.
Just amazing, Antony is just fabulous
