What actually horrified me is how they managed to remake songs with the SMW instruments.
Anything's possible with enough effort.
what intrigues me is why the level complete sound is 1 semitone higher on this that where i play it

this looks really good but with the amount of waiting that seems involved in every level it'd be painful to actually play since its ultra hard and all

It's amazing watching somebody do this so well but the craziest part is to think about somebody that actually sat around and came up with all these tricky puzzles and made this all up in their own brain... Whoever did that is absolutely incredibly gifted and a genius and levels most of us can't even comprehend.
if this impresses you you should look at JUMP 1/2, it has some of the most creative level design ive seen

Press jump and grab button on the same frame, you shouldn't need a TAS for that.

Only the ghost that are on screen when the ghost spawn have a hurtbox, the others don't

Why does all the good music in these hacks ALWAYS end up... for lack of a better term, "SMW-ized"? This especially applies to the Yoshi and Kirby tracks. Weren't they from the same console???
Brooklynite Bryon Because the cartridges (games) have different sound chips, you can't compare Star Fox music to SMW music
Explain to me how they directly ripped a piece of music from Donkey Kong Country in this hack then.
The cartridges have no sound chip built in, the sound chip is always the same. What changes in every game is the soundfont. Yoshi's Island has got some samples, Zelda has got others. The developers chose whichever samples to put in their game, depending on the music style they wanted to recreate. They did rip the music from a game to another, because every game has got "sequences", which is basically a file pretty much organized like a MIDI sequence, where you get the notes, the instruments. the volumes etc. In this hack, they simply swapped the sequences with other games, but kept Super Mario World's soundfont. The hack developers just had to change the instruments to fit the Mario soundfont.

Yes, its supposed to be doable, but its would be really hard.

Yes, that isn't a modification. It requires immense precision though so it's really difficult

Most Kaizo Romhacks are possible TASless, but it's very hard (this hack can be done TASless)
