Hey Sarah and thank you so kindly! The reason for soaking the brush, especially the "badger hair" brushes absorb water, which is real good for whipping up shave lather, and the brush being warm/hot is kind to the soap , where the soap has been in warm water, it all goes towards aiding in helping whip up lather (so I've read from professional wet shavers) of course if your shave soap doesn't have "properties" that help in that, it may not matter as well. Thank you for your question!
Hey Debbie and thank you very much! We purchased that mug from Amazon.ca; it's an Edwyn Jagger, we didn't purchase the mugs or brushes to sell, we just sell the shaving soap, that mug is my hubby's and I use an old mug of my Dad's now, I was just using a cup or a bowl.
Hello Lilia Cerda, thank you for stopping by -- in the text above I mention that this formula is almost identical to the formula I already gave for Sweet Satsuma shave soap. If you go to that youtube video of mine you will see the entire formula under "show more" text and if you watch the video or fast forward you will see the amazing and luscious lather it produces as well.
hello Teresa Friedman -- thank you for stopping by and for your question --- when you do a soap formula you need to have 100% of oils and butters -- 50% stearic acid would comprise 50% of that 100% ---- if you go to my shsving soap "Sweet Satuma" OR "Night Rider" shsving soap video , both of those have the entire formulas for you to use, as well as directions!
