Yeah, Kazuha was literally recruited out of the Dutch Royal Ballet (she's Japanese, but, yeah, that's where they found her). So she gave that up to try the idol thing. Sakura, the other Japanese girl, talks about the path she walked, because she's been ~10 years getting to this point, finally getting to debut with Le Sserafim (she and Chaewon were in IZ*ONE, but project groups don't last long), and the girl with the green fur wrap is a New Yorker, Huh Yunjin, also from Produce 48, who had gone home and all but given up before getting the call to try this "new group", one last try.
And here they are now, killing a full comeback, after their incredible debut just 5 months ago. Anti-fragile, indeed.

this sound has been present for a long time. speaking as a latino/salvadorean raised with this music all of my life, it’s nice to see it be embraced. a lot of artists and cultures have influenced reggaeton (what this sound is). it’s surprising to hear that you guys have not heard this sound. but its understandable in a sense that you may have not been raised with this sound/exposed to this. i want to emphasize how this isn’t new/ground breaking in a sense that this is legitimately never done by anyone before. but it is amazing to see this sound reach k pop.

Monster Rookie group. One is a trained Ballet Dancer and another is a trained Opera singer.
Yunjin does that to people... and yes, Kazuha was ballerina. The song is good, is like a more refinated verrsion of regggaeton. Kind of like KARD. but with a twist. Appart from Dreamcatcher the otherr 2 groups I really enjoy because of the sophistication they bring are Billlie and Le Sserafim
So I'm on a lot of girl group stan forums and just a week ago I posted that I felt like nothing had WOWed me this month like the last couple months. Well, then Le Sserafim swooped in and wowed the F outta me. Given their messy debut, the girls deserved to have a fire ass first comeback. And....THEY ATE.
So basically ssera tittle tracks are personally related to themselves. Kazuha line about pointe shoes relate to her being a ballerina. Sakura's scene is mostly involving games cuz she's crazy about gaming (I'm not sure if she's the one in the go cart tho ,it's so fast I can't see) and also the line don't underestimate her path relate to both her and chaewon (short haired girl in hat), Sakura being an idol the longest 10+ years and chaewon being in izone prior before lesserafim with Sakura. Yunjin playing guitar cuz she does play it and rock is her fav genre, she had done opera too btw so love love love her voice

Yunjin - born Korea, grew up in New York (is considered American by her bandmates) appeared on Produce 48 only did NOT make the final 12 to debut in IZ*ONE. Gave up her Kpop dream, went home to New York state, applied to college to study finance. Getting ready to attend school but she picked up her guitar after a 'long while' and then realized she still wanted to perform music. Accepted another chance and her she is.
Kazuha - born Japan, studied Ballet for 15 years and was a Professional Ballerina. She was continuing her dance studies at the Dutch National Ballet Academy when she decided to do a video audition to Source Music. According to several articles, Source Music CEO actually flew to the Netherlands to sign her. She has the shortest training period of the girls, training only 3-4 months.
Sakura - born Japan, (eldest in this group so all of them call her either Kura or Unnie) first debuted when she was 11 for HKT48. Became one of the most popular members ever of this group. She then decided to challenge herself and entered Produce48 and placed 2nd to debut with IZ*ONE as the 2nd center. Then after IZ*ONE disbanded, she received a call to help create a new girl-group for Source Music alongside one of her IZ*ONE bandmates: Chaewon. Sakura is a HUGE Gamer Girl.
Chaewon - born Korea, Leader of the Group and another former member of IZ*ONE. In Produce48 she pretty much came out of nowhere showing VAST potential and talent and you can watch her procession throughout that show all the way up to LE SSERAFIM.
Eunchae - the Maknae (in charge and only 15) and was recruited by Source Music while attending Def Dance School. Trained for just under 1.5 years and was the last picked to join the group.
Recommended things to watch:
Their DAYOFF vids: their company 'kidnaps' the girls and setup a 'staycation' at a VERY FANCY hotel. Rented out both the floor they were on and the floor below in case the girls got noisy...which, WOW. This is a fun watch.
Their Leniverse videos...too damn funny. Think of this like their own variety show. The latest 2 had the girls go to an awesome PC Bang (PC Gaming location) and is a super funny watch.
The World is My Oyster. This is their documentary on how they came to be...very good editing to remove their member who was kicked for a bullying scandal that no one is sure actually happened.

Produce48 vids and IZ*ONE vids - I have always liked going back to see where my favorite stars came from and how they relate to other groups.
That said, watch Idol School and the resultant band that came from this 'competition' program: Fromis_9. Fromis_9 also had a member attend Produce48 as well.

YESSSS!! i just have to agree to everything both of you are saying!! their debut fearless was such a different and more on the cooler tone down side, like it never really had a climax(?) and that's what i liked about them! that track keeps you so interested and curious to how they would actually sound in another genre, so i checked out their album (which was so good too!!) and this comeback!?? OMFG blew me away, i don't watch teasers/previews so that intensified my surprise even more 😭💗

Yesss I love them. So just a fyi they are now a 5 member girl group after one of their members (Garam) was removed due to a controversial bullying scandal. Furthermore, this group of girls are very talented. Their group name is actually an ANAGRAM for the word IM FEARLESS and their fandom name is FEARNOT. My bias is Kazuha!!! 5:24( fun fact: before she became a trainee at HYBE she was a professional ballerina for 15 years. However, the CEO of HYBE actively went to SCOUT her himself,Bang Si Hyuk, when she was still studying at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in the Netherlands, so yes she's definitely raw and we live for her). Also her part in the song about her leaving her POINTE shoes behind was def a reference to herself and expresses her journey. Kaz is only 19 and is the Rapper, Dancer, and Vocalist of the group. She's also one of the foreign members as she is Japanese. Also, a lot of the time in their videos or some performances Kazuha will showcase some of her talents which I love because they do cherish her as a ballerina first so they will incorporate that in some of their choreo like in their choreo for their song “Blue Flame” she does a split leg hold in the air and turns after it. Like she’s really amazin at dancing. Then TBH my bias wrecker is Yunjin. Like for some reason Kazuha became my true fav when I did not realize it yet bc I started off with Chaewon but after getting into them MORE it was Kaz that really did it for me... but then Yunjin always stood out to me from their actual debut bc of her visuals and VOCALS frl. This song is a diss to the haters after one of the members was accused of cyber bullying left..only to find out she was the victim. Haters dragged the group as well. This song is a message that no matter the stones thrown at them...they will continue to be strong
The stones werent even thrown at them specifically, despite the Garam controversy, the group was still thriving due to the fact that the other 5 members were excellent, thats why Garam was let go despite her Innocence being “proven” because HYBE knew that whether garam is innocent or not (she isnt) the group doesnt need her at all and are able to succeed without her so its not worth fighting for her, Fearless is about tackling life without any fear and antifragile is basically the same message, has nothing to do with Garam

Both Sakura and Chaewon, along with Wonyoung and Yujin from Ive were in Iz*One, and you should really react to them! Also in Iz*One is Chaeyeon, Chaeryoung’s (Itzy!) sister. I’d suggest Panorama, La Vie En Rose, and Fiesta.
On the subject of great groups that you haven’t covered: Weki Meki! You will lose it at how awesome “Cool” is, as well as Crush.
