For those commenting on the price, yes it's expensive. CVOs have always been a huge price jump from their normal production counterparts. They are the top of the line version with all the extra features that you can put on them from the factory. The paint and badging is exclusive to them and can't be bought without showing proof that you own the cvo. They are also a limited production version being made in small batches. We are one of the top 5 dealerships in the U.S. and we received maybe 10 cvos in the 2018 lineup and all of them sold the day we got them, some before we even actually got them. They are definitely way more than the average customer is going to spend on a motorcycle, that's why there are normal production models at much better price points.
Aaron, they shit for free. Their mad Harley gave bikes to rich people and not them. Rich people usually have rich friends who will buy without crying about the cost.
“I have no idea what I’m talking about... I like to compare apples to oranges... I don’t even own or ride a motorcycle...”. That’s what some of ya’lls comments should be. Block, it’s an amazing machine and most of us appreciate the look into the more refined side of Harley-Davidson. Yeah, it’s expensive... but buy a Street Glide and put all those accessories on it, and you’ve done paid way more for your motorcycle. And at the end of the day, you’d have a SG with a ton of accessories that don’t add retail value. CVOs are worth the money if you can pull it off. What a gorgeous motorcycle!
I have the 2018 CVO StreetGlide 117 Gunship Gray. Have owned several Dynas, Softtails in the past. This was my first touring bike. Worth Every single penny. Did not even pay close to 40k. Bought in the dead of winter last year.
Thanks Blockhead for showing my Ay-Ayron pencil post from Facebook. I was blown away seeing it on your Vlog and my missus and kids were wrapped seeing it. You've gor us as subscribers for life! 😆
For those who think 40+ gran is way too much for this bike CVO is kinda Rolls Roys in two wheels world and no money no honey I am myself just a one young poor bastard but! this toys are pretty good motivators to work harder. Anyway greetings from Russia Blockhead. Hell of a channel!1
Enjoyed this test ride vid, they’re $55K new here in Aussie but you know everything is relative, a normal 3 bed house in a not flash location in Sydney is $800K and well over a mil if you want to live within 10 clicks of a beach. This bike will last a lifetime if cared for and will still be worth heaps in 20 years.
Maybe not. I saw some new guy a day or two ago that appeared to be copying every aspect of blockhead's style. It was like someone had made a slightly off clone.
Just read an article about buying a Road Glide special and upgrading it with CVO options (minus paint and super special badging) AND the 131 engine for LESS than a factory CVO 117.... Approximately $39,6 vs $41k at the time the article was written (Feb 17 2020 in MotorBiscuit). WAY TO GO HARLEY! Pay MORE to get what they SHOULD offer in the FIRST PLACE! Disgusting....
If you gripe about the price, some folks can afford to live in a $1M house, a vacation house at the beach, drive a $120,000 luxury or sports car or $75,000 truck all decked out, have a $$$ ski boat, house boat or yacht. Either you have the money or you don't, it's that simple. Good thing they have different models at different price points for the rest of us.
Between the 114ci and the 117ci.. power is VERY similar by maybe 3hp and 3 to 5 tq. Which is pretty much unnoticeable. In a drag race its maybe 5 inches faster 0-60mph. All comes down to a good launch. The best launcher pretty much wins. 3ci is quite meniscal. Or if the guy on the 117ci is 15lbs heavier or more it looses by 4 inches aka less then a fender 0-60
What a stunning bike! I have a StreetGlide and I’m slowly turning it into a mini CVO 😂 Well, my personalized, very expensive, upgraded, beautiful StreetGlide! Between the crate motor upgrade and Boom GTS ,Speakers, CVO rear end, Mini apes, contrast cut trim but mostly vivid black, upgrade wheels. You see where I’m going. I’m thinking I should have just bought the damn CVO in the first place. But I have to say, my bike ROCKS. Great video. Ride safe and Harleys rule 👑
another Indian dealer in my area just went out of business. they can't be selling that many. There were three dealerships near me, now there is only one.
(Clears throught) Harley propaganda. HD is clearly running scared. So their 2019's allow to pinch a screen. Indian has had that for years now. And 114?? Big deal. Indian has had the 111 while HD was still rockin the 103. HD is playing catch up no matter how much units they sell.
Heh I paid 55 k here in Oz for a 2020 limited ultra,, we get stiffed here with exchange rates, get a base model and buy your accessories, will cost you more than a cvo,, cheers
$40K+? The Yamaha Eluder is a 113 CI bagger with a great infotainment system, gobs of power (V-twin), smooth with excellent handling and about $17K less. Harley has gone crazy! I prefer the Street Glide over the Road Glide. Riding tight twisties in the dark is much safer when the light illuminates the Road in front of you as you turn. Are the brakes Brembo, or the Chinese brakes that have failed on the CVO's? Someone I know has been very disappointed with his CVO Ultra and many problems. A new Goldwing that is truly the touring King, is MSRP $27K. And it'll run forever. I love HD, but unless I win the Lottery won't own another. The competition makes better more reliable products at a realistic price point. I've been struck on the side is the Road with Harleys, but with Metrics, the only failure that left me stranded was a dead battery with over 100K miles on it.
The CVO has Brembo Brakes, and i feel you on the Gold Wing. I test drove one yesterday and the ride was absolutely amazing, I have a 2017 Street Glide Special, and it could touch the Gold Wings ride at all
You did great on the info very great. But price is way out of line. Try an Indian way smooth big power. 27000. Still high but not 44000. Great job on telling us about it😎🏍🌨
Damn Nice Bike, but would have rode it a little Harder to test Power, and Lean angles wasn't that wet out there. Great video though, just would want to know how it really Performs, before jumping from 25k Street Glide to 40k CVO Street Glide.👊✌
Very nice bike i also noticed the new FXDR has a better lean angle go softail for the win LOL but i do like the CVO street glide if i had a spare 40k i would consider one i would.
I don't really get the idea of those speakers. Driving a bike in town with loud music you would just look ridiculous from viewers perspective, and on a highway I guess you wouldn't hear it anyways.
Alright so did the passenger seat pan stab you in the ass though? I noticed that when I rode the CVOs yesterday. Like right at the base of my spine. If you rode the bike long enough with that seat I could see it causing actual injury.
That might be because of the emblem that's right there in the driver seat. I've always thought that it would be uncomfortable but I've never heard anyone with a cvo seat complain. They are actually really popular seats
Harley does bling and tasteful stylin' better than any other MC mfr. However, H-D CVO bikes/trikes should have reverse and Honda's DCT as well as center stand.
One hundred twenty-five pound feet of torque is pretty stout and the minimum for really moving that much bike. I'll stick with my '14 Road King and do more engine work.
Love em, but if I had that type of money and wanted a bagger I'd go the whole hog (pun intended) and go for the CVO limited. Why just have panniers when you can have a top box too. I used to ride a Honda Goldwing (1500cc days) but tbh I've grown out of baggers. They're fun and all, and I've put serious miles on them, but then I got married and bought a car almost everything I used the bike for was better done on a cruiser or in the car. i.e. shopping / touring? Car. Fun riding, hooligan stuff, cruiser.
Early enough for those night owls on the East getting out of late night jobs and such, but early enough for those that kinda stay up 'late' on the West Coast. Those that go to sleep before 3am on the East then also have a new episode to wake up to, and watch whenever they'd like throughout the day 👍

Aaron at Orlando Harley I was just
I was thinking instead of crying about the price, go find a better paying job!! Step your game up people.
Aaron, they shit for free. Their mad Harley gave bikes to rich people and not them. Rich people usually have rich friends who will buy without crying about the cost.
I have an 08 CVO Dyna (fxdse2) it retailed for $24,000 new, I got it last year for $10,000 with 4000 miles on it. Couldn't be happier about it.
@@tattman77 ain't that right perfect price just buy it used

Thanks for sending it over, Ay-ay-ron and I got a good laugh out of it, haha! 🤘
Tool in a Blockhead video? Greatest video on UA-cam.
For that price you should get a free sportster
Todd Clendenin Right?
For those who think 40+ gran is way too much for this bike
CVO is kinda Rolls Roys in two wheels world and no money no honey

WhAt makes the cvo worth it again ? Power windshield ? What is it

I demoed this bike at gateway Harley Davidson here in st Louis and loved it my 1st cvo ride fell in love with Harley Davidson all over again lol
All it needs is full Öhlins suspension, Galfer or Lyndall brakes and BST carbon wheels with a step-up Saddlemen seat
Shots fired glad you finally called them out!

Blockhead thanks for the live feed over the weekend that was a blast
For sure, thanks for tuning in! Definitely fun, glad you enjoyed it!
I'm not ready to switch to a bagger yet, but that is one sweet ride.
Cranking up the Tool, hell yeah
I wonder if this bike gets very hot when you’re stuck in traffic on a hot day as it doesn’t have the water cool feature.
Looks like my twisted cherry colour
After riding in a heavy rain those speakers in the bag lids DO leak water...ive had 1 inch of water in the bottom of my bags
Man that bike looks gorgeous in that new color 😍 also expensive AF 😂
My god thats a masterpiece...

Waiting for the 2019 CVO road glide test Now.
How many ccs is this bike
Hd is stil reigning king...
Indian is stealing their sales big time
In your imagination only.............
another Indian dealer in my area just went out of business. they can't be selling that many. There were three dealerships near me, now there is only one.

Harley will always out sell Indian. Sorry fellas
I noticed it has the 4pt docking hardware on it too. Pretty nice
It also has a phone charger in the box to the right of the infotainment center
Thats twice as much as my new road king! I bet its worth it...
Sike!!
harley davidson the best of the best! never surrender
You should do clutch shifting on the heel toe shifting
Whats about Rain and Speakers?? How does that work?
All said and done taxes and optional maintenance plan ,closer to 50 grand rather than 40
I just got my loan for $65,000 approved, I'm going to be getting this bike and drop a Stage V in it!
You must be ill
I think road glide is set up better like the bigger tire. Not a fan of all the speakers
It looks like the CVO117 has bagging on the heads, does it come ad a Stage 4 standard . Lovely machine 👍👍😎
Sure it’s expensive, but to buy all the parts and create one yourself is s lot more. Great review
You can't even buy CVO parts if you don't own a CVO. Harley won't sell them to people.
R W
Similar I mean. Make yourself a CVO-style bike
Thanks Ryan!
I always crack up at the horn covers... they look like the mailbox on the front of my apartment
So you've tested the Road Glide CVO and Street Glide CVO - whats the pro's & con's - got a preference??
I have 2018 CVO SG. Bike is amazing
Ahhh the bike that the beautiful tri glide was designed on and inspired on wooooo hooooooo right on blockhead
Do you notice the weight from the special to the cvo? Because its different almost 21kg's.....
Been waiting for this video thank you!!!
Hay block are you going to test ride a new FLT.. PLZ
Like Block says.. "super nice" video 😀
When Block said the price I died inside...
So.. you posted this before you die
See Ay-ay-rons pinned comment
@@mariuss.6607 I died inside not literally.
If I lived down south where its warm more often than not, I'd save my pennies to get a CVO.
i wonder what a CVO sportster would be like...
Heh I paid 55 k here in Oz for a 2020 limited ultra,, we get stiffed here with exchange rates, get a base model and buy your accessories, will cost you more than a cvo,, cheers
Is it worth it to add highway pegs on this model?
ITS A FOOT BOARD, boards for your feet, just like foot pegs are peg for your feet.
For $5000.00 you can get a beautiful Honda 1800CC that gives you everything the Harley does, Harley better wake up

Lol it cost more than my Awd Suv with leather and power gate with hud in the windshield .. and it does what again ??
Great bike. Love the cvo’s. Much appreciated if you can demo a cvo limited!
Electra glide or road glide next?
If i had more experience on riding i would get it but ive only been riding for a year so im gettin a 650 or 750 for second bike
Holy rinse and repeat Batman.
Not even in notification gang but I'm just lurking at 3:20 in the morning. Anyway nice vid blockhead
What song can we play to test the sound system? Tool, sober. Sure why not.
What color is that bike? I like that color alot
Price sounds about right for a $12,000 bike.Dont get me wrong, if i had the money i would jump on one
Is that a real watertower?
Im going with floorboards.
dam.....china has an awesome line of harleys

Possibly!
Beautiful bike, but out of my price range (for the time being). Patience required!. Great review Blocky.
Nice, TPMS sensors....
I love that color!! Looks really good!👍👍
Looks good just way over priced
Love it, miss your rides on your bike
this has more speakers than my truck
Blockhead, will you test ride the 2019 Softail Lowrider?

I like Harleys and own their stock but that price tag is insane. I would rather buy 2 cars for that amount.
