  • I'm not sure what took me so long to visit a real Hmong village but I will not wait this long again for my next trip back! In 1975 after the Vietnam War ended, many Hmong families fled Laos and sought asylum in Thailand. My parents and older siblings were some of those people. They resettled in America shortly, while other families resettled in other countries, returned to Laos, or stayed in Thailand after the camps closed. In this video, we visit those Hmong families whom have resettled in the mountains of Thailand.
This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Thailand. One of the most fulfilling experiences I could have imagined, and I hope to return in the near future and give back again to these children.

We just got back from Sapa VN and gave the school kids candy and milk. Something so small for Americans looking in but it made the kids day.

Seeing this video tell every single Hmong around the world that Hmong American are the most kind heart people periods. Keep doing video like this it inspires a lot of younger generations to do the same.

I would love to take an opportunity to go there too... maybe even venture into Laos to see my hmong people. You're video just inspired me even more to head towards there, especially when I have such passion for kids.

Such a beautiful video. Half my family from my mother is hmong and it really touched my heart!
Do you know if any humanitarian project exist to help hmong people in Asia?
    Love from France.

How do you even start? How do you know if theyre your family or not? Do you just take a road trip up there and say, "oh are you my family?"
