- Join me on a ride taking on two of the best climbs North Wales and Snowdonia has to offer, Stwlan Dam and Llanberis Pass.
This was one of the best rides I've done in the UK and I highly recommend the route which you can find below.
Are you part of the KM crew or Miles crew, let me know in the comments below.

Just found your channel and watched your last few vlogs. This one is on my 'to ride' list Subscribed
Thanks for subscribing! It was a great ride, I definitely recommend it. Leave a comment when you do the ride to let me know how you get on. Hopefully you enjoy the rest of my videos 👍
Great video Russ, some good road surface for a change, superb scenery and climbing. I like your enthusiasm and saying hello to everyone as I find this is something that is lacking when out cycling 🤷♂️ I'm old school too so cycle in miles 😁 😎🚴♂️👍
Thanks Terry, yep the roads where I live are shocking so it was a nice change! I appreciate that, I love the bond cyclists have saying hello, I wish we all did it! And 1-0 for the mile crew, no takers from the KM crew so far! 😂
I work in mm, cm, meters and then miles. I buy fuel in liters but measure its efficiency in Mile Per Gallon. Welcome to the UK.
So I've always used miles but I have my climbing data in metres, makes it easier for me to comprehend it. Plus I can say to non cyclists that when I climb 2000 + metres on a ride I've nearly climbed 1/4 of Everest!
Great video Russ and one of the funniest too 😂👍🏻
Thank you!
Hey another video:-) That was good, liked the intro, great trip cool scenery decent distance covered and what suits you best - a climb! Keep up the videos Russ looking forward to the next one (and closing on 200 subs!) Take care mate cheers!
Thanks, finally able to record a new video after all the old back log of editing was cleared. A great day out and two belting climbs!
Super fit dude
Great video mate will you go on a ride and pick me that uniform up ive been waiting for?😂😂
👍
Hope you pressed the thumbs up button as well...😂👍
Gwin-ith.
Thanks, some tough names to pronounce!
@@Russ_Dillon If you fancy a good day out in southern Gwynedd try Bwlch-Y-Groes, Llanymawddwy.
Even harder to ride than it is to pronounce.
Thanks, next time I'm in Wales I'll have a look. There are some awesome climbs there that I want to try.
that doesnt quite explain the pronounciation, it starts with gwin, but the -edd is pronouced with a normal 'e' sound and 'th' as in 'this' as opposed to 'thistle'
You know what they say, if you didn't film your ride and put it up on UA-cam, it didn't happen!
Ha ha that's a good one, I'll remember that!
