So I wonder if they addressed:..... -top gear in chaincase -shift fork pads in chaincase -added a bellypan protector - added rad hose tunnell protectors Got their Machining process improved so the drive shaft doesn't spin the bearings - addressed the reverse actuatorshittin the bed -fixed the roll over valve issues -etc etc etc. Somthing tells me "No" on all counts. You couldn't pay me enough to own another one.
Not to mention: rattling clutch, sliders that only lasts 100miles, chaincase sight glass, belts that blows in 600 miles, gauge going dark and so on. My sidewinder had all these issues, included those darren mentioned. I wont have another one even if it was for free.
All of this you mention are on what year? It’s all been addressed I believe after 2018 models. Most top gear failures are on tuned sleds. Kind of hard to take a sled with 200hp and make it 300 and wonder geez why is there failures? Odd!! All of this will last for a extreme hard rider for 10’s of thousands of stock miles. If you tune you best add a few parts.
@@tjomay2107 600mi? On my Stock sidewinder run hard the first belt went at 3,400mi. You have something else wrong. These machines are amazing on belts.
2018 stock sidewinder, first belt lasted 600 miles, the next under 100. Turns out primary clutch rollers are stuck. Changed rollers and the next belts lasted a bit longer, think it chewed up 5 belts in 3000 miles. Sold it and never looked back, a shame really, as the sidewinder is an amazing trial sled, to bad the build quality sucks..
Hey guys! This year we have a sidewinder with many different windshield and skid options (but we call those different models), a venom with the same, and a mountain max with the same. Look! We even discontinued tried and true snowmobiles that were still being bought by people that actually need their sleds for work! We’re slowly taking more and more models out of the lineup to ween you guys off of our brand, as we plan on not making snowmobiles as soon as you guys finally quit buying them. Thanks! The thing I hate is that I’d still buy an xtx. I just wish we had more viper models.
Sad that the Yamaha of years gone by is gone. I was excited in '14, but no Japan built Yamaha's is too bad. Gone is the fit and finish, and reliability of those sleds. It would really be nice to at least see some Yamaha DNA with the chassis sharing.
I think they lost the way 2005 I had a sick sxr triple mine was an 03 but it lacked suspension cause the trailing arms but it was low and super fast ps I love 2 stroke
I disagree,l think that these sleds have as good as fit and finish as theyve ever had,and ive never seen Arctic Cats look so good or be as well put together.I wish Yamaha would ditch the ArcticCat engines and go back to their redhead triples. A red head 700 with updated electronics and fuel injection wouldbe considerably better than these ArcticCat twins
@@DavidWilliams-ol3vp arctic cat engines? I also believe they are assembled in USA. Just Yammi engines, and clutches are supplied. Everything else is ac
"Copy-paste disappointed comment from previous year" 🤦♂️ So many of us take the time to explain year after year (myself included) what riders want and year after year Yamaha hasn't failed to disappoint... Heartbreaking
I snow checked an Attack in 2006... It has a Broken skid @ 3,000 miles I have a Diamond air skid to install. I also snow checked a 2014 Skidoo Renegade 800 much more fun to ride being 180# lighter but it's Fragile and will bend .. The Yamaha excluding the skid is almost Indestructible . What I really want is a 600 CC two stroke cross Country race Sled. I can't sell either sled I own now with out taking a huge loss .. One has 3,000 miles and the Doo has I think 1,400 miles on it .. SW MI has more mud than snow the last few winters.
Sad on volume. Lots of Dealers left NY and PA. Hardly anywhere to get my 2020 Viper LTX-GT warranty serviced and ones I called were very disappointed with what happened last year for sleds available. Seems like all the Polaris and Skidoo are dealer are still all over. Wish you could bring more back to Yamaha but this news for 2023 sure does not help. Must be a margin $$$ thing also. Been all Yamaha since 1980s. Exciters, Phazers and older 2 stroke Yamaha. Just my take.
I had an Enticer II then a Phazer II (136" track) for years. Moved on to the RS Vector in 2004-2005. Rode that until 2016. Then had to switch over to Ski-doo. Yamaha just lost too much ground with snowmobiling. Still ride a Yammie crotch rocket though!
PLEASE READ YAMAHA: We DONT want arctic cat chassis, we DONT want arctic cat ctec2 motors. WE WANT a 100% Yamaha made snowmobile. Its time to bring back the triple 2 stroke motors!!!!!
market feedback for EPS! What about the market feedback for a real yamaha made in japan and add some new technology to keep up with the other companys! Also Offer a few models that other people besides Donald trump can afford to buy!
Well, I wonder if yamaha will read any of the comments.....there all say very similar things. Yamaha die hard waiting for a real yamaha light weight powerful sled. Yamaha has forgotten what made the phazer the number 1 selling machine in the world......get in the game yamaha
Why even talk about Yamahas?? They sold out of the models everyone wanted in a few short hours. I didn’t get my Sidewinder LTX GT EPS I ordered last spring and I went to order a 2023 a few hrs after they announced them and they were all sold out. Seriously!!?? Are they having this much production trouble? I can’t imagine a company this big can afford to turn down 100’s of customers ready to spend 20K. I’ve owned over 30 Yamahas. I’m beginning to believe we are seeing the end of the blue era.
like the bng , like the eps but dumping the qs3r shocks on the ltx le not cool i'll keep my 50th early build, no eps eliminates updating my wife's ride been riding yamahas since 1980 bought lots of new ones but you guys add things but take things away and then you don't make available eps on other models trying to save it for another year i'm older and tired of the new model release it has become a joke
988 genesis moter? umm 'isnt that like a 15 year old moter? i had a 2009 vector with a 988 genesis moter? but then again they are stil using the 686 moter in the grizzly's still which is also a 15 year old Moter
What a joke. Again nothing for 60% of the riders. Ladies want a lighter sled, then a sidewinder. Not all ladies ride on groomed trails. I can see why the Polaris and Ski-Doo leading the way. At least make a Artic Cat Riot X 800cc in blue. MR. SMITH has no idea what the average rider wants. I’ve boughten 9 Yamaha sleds in the last 20 years and I’m so done with Yamaha
To all you guys with the comments on sled build qualify and engineering I have a long list in my Polaris INDY!! I tear my sled down every year and replace all wearable items,I don't think sleds will ever have the quality and build Quality of our new cars and even old motorcycles 🤔 I saw almost every brand being towed home this year it's definitely part of the sport 😂😂
But so far ahead of the competition. You know all the frilly shit for she-doo and pop your motor Polaris comes with a price. Compare these prices the the Polaris and doo that are $4-5k more. I’d say best bang for the buck and the only one that’s reliable. I ride with all brands and doo and laris are garbage in reliability
@@kurtwilliams9114 hahaha ive rode everything too. And yam and the cat are garbage. Heavy. Shit to ride. Money isn’t an issue for me. Especially when the sled is that much better.
A reservation does not guarantee you a snowmobile, but … lol. Come on Yamaha. Do better. Bring back a solid 600 twin with all the latest gadgets… a true trail sled without the break neck speeds.
Lacking new stuff, I mean really new, why not increase power? BRP now have a 4 stroke 180 hp engine, why not have the LE models at 225 hp or more? I don't even know a single friend with less than a 240 hp kit. Horsepower could at least be something new. Sure, power steering on more models, why not, but it's not new. I couldn't see anything that would motivate me to update from a SW XTX LE 2021.
@@kurtwilliams9114 "All" is not a lot in this case. I love my SW XTX, but there is nothing compelling with buying a new one, and that just have to be a problem. I'm not the only one that has this opinion.

It only one yamaha in my heart, ❤️ apex ❤️
