    Hey Chris & Megan. havent been on in a while, so Im watching this right now. I saw one of these reviews a while ago, but they didn't work on anything but 20 lb tanks. looks like they've updated them. very nice review.

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah we love them so far and you can set them to 20, 30 or 40lb tanks and I believe their new units can even be applied to the larger tanks.

    You are absolutely correct that the propane seems to run out in the middle of the night. Definitely, the Bluetooth over the mounted gauge inside. We were wondering about leaving these on during travel so thanks for the info. Thanks for another great video.

    • @WhyWait

      A lot of people say they leave them on and they would probably be fine but we don’t move that often so taking them off isn’t a big deal for us each time.

  • @ttbo12

    I'm glad you mentioned that you remove it when traveling. I also have an open space below and am concerned about losing the sensor on bump. Good detailed review.

      Thanks. The longer we have had them I’m guessing they would stay put but why chance. I will say we have had to replace one that quite working recently. Otherwise we like them.

    I use those also. I'll use those as long as I have propane on my RV. I'd recommend even just for a gas grill. They make it so much easier not to have to guess any more. I like them most because I don't have to go out on in the cold and rain after finding a flashlight just to see if one of the tanks is empty yet. Usually when I'm thinking about checking the propane is when I'm on my way to the restroom and don't have a flashlight with me.

      Good deal! They definitely come in handy like you say. Nothing worse than late night cold propane running out.

    Good tip and device. We have a switchover valve where it runs off one talk and when it gets empty it switches to the second tank BUT if we don't at least pay SOME attention I guess we could run out in both tanks.. And both tanks have gauges. But I do like the blue tooth on that unit.

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  2 роки тому

      We have the same switch and same deal here. They have gauges as well but Megan loves the accuracy and ease of checking from her phone in bed lol

  • @topgun5399

    Iv had mine for over 1 year and both sensors quit. They are not waterproof and they don't stand up to harsh weather so back to the old Guage I go. The money I spent on this I could use to fill my tanks besides we go camping 4 times a year for a week and if one tank is empty I just switch and fill they other tank. One tank will last me 3 or more seasons anyway because we don't use it much. We usually have full hookups anyway. Maybe we travel long distance to keep the fridge going but then I can check on the road between filling our truck up.

    We have these sensors and they work fairly well to give you an estimate but they are in no way accurate. Especially when a tank gets close to being empty. Then the readings are all over the place. We do like them though and knowing what to expect makes them a worthwhile purchase.

    I have found these things to be totally unreliable. At 1 moment it says full, the next it says empty. They have replaced 1 that just stopped working and it only works occasionally now. One of my tanks shows empty when it has been turned off and full. I can't rely on them. They've been a waste of money for us.

    What if tank is mounted on side

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  Рік тому

      This won’t work properly. They do have different monitors for large tanks and different size tanks but if you just had a standard 30 gallon tank on its side this won’t work. And if that’s the case I don’t know how your tank is working properly that way either 🤷🏻‍♂️
