I'm all about bike lanes being in the appropriate areas in appropriate ways, but there needs to be bike, parking and traffic surveys before the decision is made. The majority of voters voted for the bike lanes, but we didn't get to decide what regulations and methods would be used to decide where these bike lanes would go. The amount of bikers that bike on Convoy do not outweigh the need for the lanes. I've never seen anyone bike on that street, they know better. I doubt these bike lanes will change those numbers. The only way to get this changed is for people to write complaint letters, lobby for change, and attend meetings where matters like this can be brought up.

At least a week long and on busy streets like this with business open late daily, a 24/7 survey for at least a week twice in a month would be warranted even though they'd figure out in one or two days that it's not a good idea. The survey would give evidence as to why a bike lane shouldn't be entertained now, but maybe in a few years they could revisit the idea.
That whole area is a Business District out in the middle of San Diego's nowhere land, nobody lives out there, who is going to ride a bicycle out there?

Walkable and bikeable areas are the most expensive areas to live in. The reason? Because PEOPLE WANT TO LIVE THERE. No one wants to live near a freeway.
Finally! Convoy has so many good restaurants but the planning is ONLY for cars. The restaurants will be just fine. Get rid of the car dealerships and build a real parking structure. Stop whining about the bike lanes those are not the real problem.
I feel like we need to sue to city of SD. This is more even difficult to find parking space . It is not fair to everyone. For example nail salon , depends how we will take waiting period and how long it will be done .
