I'm headed up there this June/July and was seriously considering it. Did you have some of your IFS vehicle make it through the real rocky parts, or were they the purview of just the SFA's. I heard someone say something about "that's the first IFS through that spot". Am curious since I have a Bronco. It's a Badlands with 35's and a 2" lift from a stock suspension. Lots of skid plates to help slide, but it's not something that will be trailered there. Thanks for any info. Oh, last thing, how busy is this trail best you can tell?
Nice vid and decent wheeling! I'm planning a loop to hit all the Jeep badged trails and this is kinda in the middle - is this a free trail, or do you need a pass (like Peter's Mill)?? Thanks!
@@ApexOverland Fantastic! Adding this to my loop: 1-Peter's Mill, 2-Flagpoll Knob, 3-Pott's Mt., 4-Bearwallow Hatfield & McCoy, 5-Windrock Offroad Pk, 6-Beasley Knob, 7-Gulches Off Road Vehicle Park, 8-Dickey Bell, then an easy drive back up 9-Blue Ridge Parkway, 10-Skyline drive. 8 States and 8 Jeep Badges. Long trip but I'm getting old and my be my last chance ;) If you'd be interested in a meetup let me know and I'll keep you posted!
Are there bypass’s for any of these rocks? My buddy and I will be heading there in a couple months. I know my rig will be able to handle it, but he’s just getting into off-roading not sure if he’s going to want to take his 4 runner on some of this.
@@15jwrangler , for the ones that count, no. Trail width varies, and of course the hardest parts were about the most narrow too. He's probably going to want 35" tires, and for 2 or 3 parts at least one locker
Great video

Can't wait to go this July. You guys killed it!
Thanks!

All the IFS vehicles made it though the whole trail with no issues. Even the rocky parts. IDK if id take a new bronco through some of it though...
Amazing off road.

The Apex overland grey 5th Gen is running 315/70/17 BFG KM3s.
