    ""Just being grateful" that everything isn't being pirated" is extreme. Ad revenue is being generated from music platforms which didn't exist when there were physical discs, tapes, and MP3s. It appears that ad revenue and subscriptions have now replaced the purchase price of physical copy/item. The term "profit sharing" seems more appropriate than a sale, which then ideally equates to partnership.

      The problem is that you will never know how much the stream is worth to UA-cam or whatever platform. The streaming platform does because they know how much it costs to run the platform & how much they get for the stream & ad revenue. The question is how do you argue the value of your stream

    How come sooo many artists don't know how much a stream is worth?😮. Why hasn't your attorney told u by now?😮 & y aren't artists pushing BUYS? BUY my music, I can care less how many times u listen to it. 😮. Y'ALL letting the devil trick u!😮. Snoop & many other multi platinum artists have taken their music off streaming sites. Those platforms r making $50M a month on subscriptions while paying artists fractions of a penny. They're being paid the dollar that used to go 2u the artists. While u focus on a made up #. Wake up!

      That's real! But where is their music being sold and bought now and when was the last time you bought music from there?

    The brother in red is right the math ain't mathin and this should be anticipated sense it's coming from the descendants of colonizers and Slave owners, so by anticipating we should be coming up with new economic models while definitely not be grateful it could be worse. There is a different between tolerating systematic unfairness and not accepting it, the latter means while u are going with the flow u are active in changing your unfair situation.

    What about profit sharing? And having a clear view of what the company is generating to better evaluate the worth and value of the content contribution.

    Big loon I'm an artist and I'm almost finished with next year's release catalog. I don't want no help or nothing but I've been thinking about going direct to consumer route. Could you possibly make videos on how one would do that because what I'm doing is a little bit different in terms of music and media that goes along with it and I just wondering if you could touch up on something like that cuz I know you be up on game

    And then also you can touch on how and I've tested it out. People involved with distro kid. Get their music taken off if 90% of your music is bought it. But for people who don't really know how to market their self and what not, if you really want wanted to take down a whole bunch of artists in your area you could legitimately do it with about a hundred bucks. And these fake bots?

    • @JOI_NACTION
      @JOI_NACTION 4 місяці тому

      Hell I tested one theory out one time I had a little group of people and we all got family plans from Spotify, title etc. Just to see how it would work and we made nothing but like 35-second songs and what not. Now you can't release a 30-second song on there as a single. However, if it's attached to an album if it's attached to an album filled with 30-second snippets those 30 seconds still count as a stream so we would set up a whole bunch of phones and a whole bunch of peoples and family houses and run out each of those songs on different playlists and it was no different than having extra streams. There's it's different ways to manipulate the system is all I'm saying but there's ways to do it ethically also with content and that's what I've been working on
