  • We got hold of one of the five Whittley Racing Edition SL20s, powered by Mercury's brand new 3.4L V6 150R 4-stroke outboards.
She goes! And has better fuel economy that the same hull with a 3.0L, 135Hp that we previously tested.
As tested, this package came in at $142,990 as a Boat Show Special, although MSRP is $156,976.
    See whittley.com.au for more information.

Had a Whittley 5.0 was a fantastic boat, wish I still had it, especially now I have a teenage son.. One day I'll get another one ❤

Didn’t cover top end speed or anything…something most would assume would be covered in a ‘ racing edition’ 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

So looks wise, the motor is a de-tuned 200? Why not mention it? Or compare it to that?

      It’s their V6 3.4L platform - was 175-225hp.

The Pro XS 175 3.4ltr is a great engine it was just a shame it didn’t come with the DTS controls.

It's certainly no racing boat 😂

No - but any time you can have a bigger capacity 4-stroke is good.
