2:16 that ship is king saron, where my mom works, she is guide (i am crina k's daughter) and yes I agree symi is the best place, my childhood place, it has the delicious restaurant in there!
Wonderful video! Greece is overblown with beauty and immense diversity. Because I traveled a lot I came to know this wonderful land. Greece has 80% mountains and with it's 6000 breathtaking and unique islands and the breathtaking mainland together that delivers spectacular views everywhere you go. From snow capped mountains all around the country to 32% forests and highest biodiversity in Europe with virgin forested lands and islands all the way to volcano's wetlands, marshlands, rugged and wild landscapes, a small desert, the only natural palm forests in Europe and everything in between these extremes. In Greece you can find so many atmospheres that make you feel you are all across the globe
I’ve traveled all over Greece and Symi is at the top of my list. Such a lovely place! For anyone seeing this I also implore you to visit Acheron Springs near Parga on the mainland. It’ll be the most amazing experience you’ve had of nature.
for anyone wanting to visit symi it is useful to know that there are dailiy scheduled ferries to and from symi most days and multiple boats in high season. it's possbile to get a ferry as early as 8:30 and return as late as 5-6pm They are a lot cheaper than an organised day trip and you get a lot longer to spend on Symi. journey times range from 90 mins for the slower car ferries to 50 mins for the fast catamarans. The one thing an organised trip does have going for it though is most will take in Panormitis Monastery on the south of the island either on the way to, or returning from, Symi Main Harbour and you wil get a tour of the harbour with a history of the island. But if you want to have lots of time to explore symi on your own rthen schduled ferries are the way to go
Hi. If u go on a organised day trip and get the faster boat how long is it in total as in if I left 9 am as an example what time would u expect to return to the Rhodes
@@daryldoherty3300 if it's an organised day trip how do you know they will put you on a fast boat ? the only way to be sure is to book your own ticket on a scheduled ferry. all I can tell you is most organised daytrip boats arrive between 11 and 1. this depends on their speed, and if they visited panormitis first. they leave on average between between 4 and 5 some earlie, r again if they are doing panormitis on the return journey. the only way to keep this under your own control is to book your own scheduled ferry, not a day trip excursion. you can go as early as 8:30 and leave as late as 6pm (ish) depending on the day
@@ElGreco47 It can only be found in Symi, that is true, what you get in other places is also from this island. For instance, you get Irish beef, which is from Ireland, but it can be exported to other parts of the world
Great video, thanks for sharing. Symi looks awesome; we plan to do the same trip next month but we can't lie, we are so excited about seeing all those cats :):):) Were there lots of cats in Symi too?
a hell of a lot of cats in symi yes. The locals kill them by running over them is awful. I spent 2 weeks there and saw a lot of deaths. There is a small pack of feral dogs also
@@shaz1731 No they don't do this. Been going to Symi for well over 20 years or so I can tell you they don't do this. There are no feral dogs either. I don't know why you put this post out but none of it is quite frankly, true.
A wish for you on your birthday, whatever you ask may you receive, whatever you seek may you find, whatever you wish may it be fulfilled on your birthday and always. Happy birthday!”
I`d never heard of Symi. Loved all the different coloured houses. Thanks for taking us to these beautiful places. When covid is over, hopefully you`ll visit the Bay of Naples area, Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and video that. Another beautiful dress by the way.
nice seeing the island again. i went there 15yrs ago. island is lovely however the only thing i did not like was how they treated the cats and dogs. Locals would kill the cats by running over them. There are a lot of feral cats and dogs on symi but mostly cats. I fed some of the dogs while i was there and was bollocked by a shop owner who was intimidating. I pretended i did not know what he was talking about but i got his meaning very clearly. I still fed the dogs. some of the cats killed had babies who also died a slow death because they were hidden away when there mothers were run over. There are some kind people on the island who fed the animals but mostly i saw people who hated them classed them as a nuisance. Like i said i loved the island but left feeling sad for the cats and dogs.
8:10 blurred? you're in a bikini in the real world, where anyone and everyone can see you, but for some reason you have to hide yourself in the virtual one - that makes no sense at all.

You can find Symi shrimps in other islands as well
Sure, but isn't it better to have it when you are in Symi?!?
