Did my head in that day trying to concentrate on everything and have that noise! It's fine when it's raining more it's quiet, but drizzle is hopeless you can't change the intermittent speed, and I think it has some sort of coating on it to run off some of the rain spots, therefore it's sort of wet and then the wipers rub :(
Thank you, did you retire before the old Shearings went 4 years ago? I guess you've had this mess in London before! I'm back there Friday, thank you very much hope you stay well!

Seems a bit mad that London excludes or penalises less fuel efficient vehicles then makes you waste fuel and contribute to congestion looking for somewhere to park.
Yep! Heard that from a lot of drivers, saying how can they campaign for ultra low emissions but don't really mind if you drive round aimlessly looking for a space adding to congestion
I’ve been driving buses and coaches on and off for 38 years now, I hated driving a coach into London and then finding a parking space was just as bad. All I do now is a school run and I earn the same as a full time bus/coach driver, a part from holidays that I don’t get paid for. But that’s perfect for me, the company I work for do not get their drivers to sweep, clean, wash, check the oil, check the water nor fuel up, that’s all done by the cleaners and Mechanics. All I do is my defect check list and drive, hour and a half in the morning and same again in the afternoon. Not bad for someone that’s never taken a bus driving test, in 1986 I passed in a minibus which was a class three licence. Back then you had a class 1 (coach) class 2 (bus) class 3 (minibus). Then in 1991 the law was changed and all three licences were combined into one, so I was given a free bus/coach licence without doing a driving test.
What is the button, you have to keep pressing when you stop, and then have to re press when youre about to start again? brilliant video though keep up the good work 🙂
Thw coach with those pipes and things in the wheels that is central tyre inflation what a lot of army trucks and serious off road things use allows to inflate/deflate the tyres on the move
Oh right! Never seen that before thank you very much makes sense now though interesting to see it on a coach, new idea or something they need for different situations maybe
Hi there James, I noticed you putting the coach into neutral when you stop most of the times, which I've seldomly seen drivers doing that on an automatic bus. Just curious - is there a reason why? Thanks!
Just natural habits from my test, plus a habit I try to get into as our other types of auto-manuals we have, if you leave in D on those you'll cause wear and tear as it's trying to pull away but can't as the handbrake is on
Must be a worry watching out for cyclists getting too close when driving in London. You should send this video to the London Mayor as it's crazy to be searching so long for a parking space.
Do you want your video, nice to go round London without the stress of having to drive oneself. Can’t you get a new pair of wipers they were driving me round the bend LOL
Don't worry drives me round the bend as well! Doesn't need new blades it's been like it since new, thing is if it's not wet enough it makes that sound, and that's on intermittent but the gap is too short but you can't adjust the intermittent wipe it is what it is, but you can manually do it by turning it on and off, but trying to do 10 other things at once I can't always manually do it when I'm looking for bikes, blind spots, people etc
Depends if it says 'Local only' or not, if there's no restriction text then it's OK but some places you don't win using the bus lane, a bus ahead stopping at all stops is going to slow you down
I know you have to add that time to your driving hours, making sure it's reset before you even enter Greater London to make sure you have some parking driving time under your belt
@@james143611 Madness mate , trolling around looking for a space , wasting tacho time . And those xxxxends in TFL saying how ' every journey matters '.
@rogerkretzschmar8280 Nail on the head I think the 'every journey matters' applies to TfL, unfortunately anything non-TfL is a nuisance. TfL buses rule the roost they don't seem to like anyone else, I've heard of buses clipping mirrors off coaches on the Kingsway coach parking, I've had them just barge out in front of me, if you let them out they don't say thank you absolutely annoying
Those windscreen wipers would do my head in

If you clean the blades with glass cleaner James it should stop the judder, it could be the windscreen needs it as well, thanks for the video james
I used to drive Woolworths arctics all over London Stepney Green that was interesting delivery
I have driven my car in London many times I cannot imagine driving a bus into it 40 miles from Chelmsford Essex
I noticed you dont use bus lanes much, but you did go down a bus and taxi gate. How do you know what you can and can't use ?

@james143611 Thanks, I didn't know they qualified the signs locally.
Great video but London would finish me off it’s still crap traffic
Just noticed the Temsa has an Irizar O Licence holder!
Haha! Yes it does IIRC didn't actually come with one so would have been one in our stock or the one taken out of the Irizar i8 when that went
@@james143611 I've seen the i8 around since it left and it's still looking lovely!
You spelt it wrong, As a driver for Caledonian Travel, We use these coaches loads and they are called "Temshites" not Temsa xD

Needs a pre bookable coach park methinks.

That looks a pain In arse having to take it out of drive everytime you stop
Used to drive artic trucks through London occasionally. Never liked it
Was it a Ballache with bikes in blindspots etc? Did you keep your hair on in the end 😅
Done the job for years.😅
Bikes and pedestrians and scooters hmmm yep night mare
Plus :- Taxis, cars, lorries, traffic lights, bike lanes, pedestrian crossings, numerous lane changes, illegal manouvers, demonstrations, 20MPH limit (adherence), raining, navigating routes, parking, poor driving (other motorists) hmmmmmm, yep nightmare. 😖
