Spiritual Grounding & Wholeness

Dear RENEW Challengers,
As I share in today’s video, my journey to physical wellness started only after I sought out God for spiritual wholeness. I would be remiss if I allowed us to continue this RENEW journey together without emphasizing a spiritual truths that really helped set me up for the transformations I now enjoy: Commit to One Place of Worship
Many of us are church-hopping, listening to multiple pulpits. Instead, submit to one spiritual leader and serve in that place of worship. This grounding helps you find stability. After COVID, many became complacent about attending church or serving-I know I did. I became aloof, watching several services on social media, switching channels based on what interested me. But this is an error. We are meant to be established in one place of worship.
I urge you to stop frolicking and allowing all sorts of people to speak into your life. Numerous prayer platforms have replaced the role of the church for many. Scripture says we should not forsake assembling together. Allow yourself to be seen by your leaders. After Christ healed someone, He asked them to “go show yourself to the priest.” It baffled me that Christ sent the person back to their local church for the continuation of their journey.
There is a role for constant spiritual supervision, but many of us do not tap into it due to certain ideas or past bruises. As part of the RENEW process, I encourage you to meditate on where God might want you to commit spiritually. Derive the benefits of being discipled and grounded in your faith as you plug into a community of believers.

My Eden Plan: Weeks after reading Nehemiah, and making a spiritual commitment to eat nothing but raw fruits and vegetables for 52 days, I was so grateful to have encountered the My Eden Plan ministry. The ministry has drawn together a community of believers from all over the world who dedicate themselves to fasting and Bible study. Throughout the 40-day fasting period, we commit ourselves to prayer, Bible study and eating only natural foods. They have a structured fasting plan, and small group leaders who help support your growth. I currently serve as a small group leader, and have been so enlightened especially by the Biblical teachings on nutrition.
