Funny because I primarily only love their WPSIATWIN punk rock album, the others like Humbug, SIAS, and AM were too boring to me
However I liked Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino. They're discovering and exploring a new style. If they can do it even better on an upcoming album I'd totally still stay.

I don't think they understand how art works. the artist isn't supposed to give a shit what the fans want. they make what they want. and thats what I love about arctic monkeys. if you don't like it then find something else, its not that big of a deal.
Nicely stated. Its why Ziggy broke up the band. Only real artists take real risks! This album is a masterwork... we have to give the slow ones time to catch up.

hmm, I disagree Damon Albarn is an example of experimenting and improving. I used to love AM but actually it seem that they are struggling to find new sounds... Favorite Worst Nightmares was a step to this but after that, their music got repetitive to me. Maybe it's just me I still listen to the band but it's been hard to enjoy all of their material since cornerstone.

i used to listen to this album when it came out in the summer of 18, when a close friend just had killed herself.
This brings me a strange nostalgia because i used to spend that summer evenings in a park reading books so i wont think of killing myself aswell (that friend and i loved to read books, and every summer we would spend it in the library, in school breaks she was the only one that I saw beside my family).
This song makes me feel so well and when it ends it makes me wanna cry, it reminds me of the soft wind and the warm evening lighting and Stephen King book's!!!

Im 61, from Sheffield and this is the first time Ive heard AM apart from the early material. Im blown away by the intricacy of the music and its so clear Alex has evolved his own voice which, along with the amazing lyrics reminds me so much of David Bowie - and I mean that as a definite compliment! Anyone else hear that?
I love all of Arctic Monkeys' more rock (grunge/ rock n' roll) albums but this album was sensational and in no way lesser. If everything before AM was pushing boundaries of good rock, then AM was blowing them up and this album just blew past them like a rocket

Es un poco agobiante las personas que entran solamente a comentar que quieren a los "viejos arctic monkeys". Al igual que las personas cambiamos con los años, también lo hace la banda. Es decir, no podés esperar a que suene igual que hace cuatro años atrás. Mejor aprendan a valorar la evolución en todos sus aspectos en vez de tomarse el tiempo solamente para criticar.
Lo malo es que en este album no se escucha mucha diferencia del AM. Sigue siendo el mismo Alex Turnner melódico, con canciones con ritmo lento y coros repetitivos hasta el cansancio (Para mi es como si esa persona no hubiera cambiado con los años), pero claro es mi opinión y esta canción no me desagrada("The Ultracheese" Tambien me agrada) . No te agobies por los que solo critican por criticar :)
Me gusta mucho disfrutar lo que hace mi banda favorita, y no prestar atención a los comentarios negativos. ;)
Opino lo mismo, mucha gente ha estado diciendo que él álbum es muy malo y que es un asco, cuando se filtro antes no lo escuche y sinceramente tenía mucho miedo de escucharlo pero no es malo, no es su mejor álbum pero no es malo y tiene canciones buenas, creo que lo que realmente no le gusto a las personas es que cambiaron su estilo
Cambiaron de concepto, no pueden esperar que se mantengan igual siempre, un artista tiene que reinventarse.

Eu gostei pra caralho, geral falando "Saudades do AM raíz", "Volta 2007", em 2007 Alex era um adolecente, todos os adolecentes passam por uma fase de rebeldia, ele também teve a dele, agora que ele cresceu, suas músicas estão cada vez mais maduras, o novo álbum tem um estilo futurista e elegante exatamente por isso, estamos em 2018
Exato. TBH&C é um trabalho bem mais amadurecido da banda. É triste saber que teve um pessoal realmente dando hate. Sei lá, cada um tem seu gosto, mas é importante reconhecer a qualidade do álbum.

I just want to say that lately NASA found huge amounts of water near the crater... Clavius. Thats probably one of the first places if not THE first place for our moon base. Well then, I guess that really...Cute new places keep on poping up around Clavius.
And thats the second time Alex prooves he had some prophet dreams around 2018. "She looks like fun" was the first one. That album trutly is a masterpiece beyond time...

The part that starts at 2:11 is just so beautiful. I don't really understand why people hate on this album I actually really like it. When I first heard it I have to admit I didn't really like but when you listen to it multiple times you'll see it's really not that bad.
