Solid overview, and I agree with everything you said. I was lucky too and got one early and it showed up today. Feels like a basic work horse, nothing fancy but well thought out package.
Great review, and well timed before the big drop tonight! I see it as Yue squeezing the most out of his engineering work on the Ticon1 and Marten, creating a true budget option.
Thanks for the solid review. You know, I ordered this exact one earlier today on Amazon. I really thought it was nice looking, but I had to tell myself that the blade shape just isn't for me. I love my sheepsfoot blades too much. That, and for the materials, it's not the greatest price. I went ahead and cancelled my order. It's still a cool knife, but I don't think it's for me.
I have to agree. It looks good, but it's a flat-slab handle scale Chinese knife with budget steel (though arguably the best budget steel). $70 is a bit high. I was thinking $55 would have been a sweet spot.
@jonenglert5809 same here. I do knives reviews and unboxings on my channel but I never had a knife more than $400. I can't afford it. My most expensive is my Quiet Carry Drift LCT.
Not at all similar, I own a Roosevelt. That being said the Roosevelt and its design BEG for other knife manufacturers to make an EDC knife that’s functional for every task and not just being a thick blade stock knife.
@@highwindsedc they definitely look similar. I didn't say they are identical. But the looks of both are very similar (disregarding the button liner lock)
@ I saw another comment on another video that said their “silhouettes” are similar and now I can see it vaguely . But other than that it’s different enough to not be a rip off. I think the blade to handle length is too out of ratio to be compared to the Roosevelt. May just have to buy a porcupine and compare it to my Roosevelt for my channel.
I think value is hard to access for each person. Unless you love the look and top liner lock, you can do better for 70 bucks, but I wouldn't call it overpriced either.
@@Oneoneone111One have fun overpaying for their new lock they stole from Spyderco lol I'm a pass even though it's a good design just too much for what is there and what I said is not hyperbole or whatever the hell you said.

Hey. Welcome back, nice to see you postin! ✨😻
Thanks man! Hope all is well.
Same thing happened to me. The blue was available but when I added it to my cart I got an error message and now it’s no longer available.
I like it. The shape reminds me of the DPX HEST Urban folder.
Kinda reminds me of a budget Rosie
It looks pretty much like a TLL Acorn
Ok thanks for mentioning it's a coating not actual stonewash. Was about to buy it.
What's that penguin though, damn now I want that.

Gives me budget Rosie vibes
Honestly I think this is overpriced for what you get. This should be priced at 49, especially in today's market.

Fun fact kizer has a knife called the porcupine 😊
I saw that one but never picked it up.
@mightyMC_edc got it at 25 bucks incredible action
Looks like a Rosie knockoff eh ?!
I see similarities now that people say it
Like I mentioned in the group. Look at the OZ Machine Company Rosie. It's almost a copy of it. Not the Moyarl.
Yeah looks alot almost identical shape for sure kinda like it cause I'll never spend 1000 on a real rosie

oh u like marten? o u lik psypop? have this
Worth the $70?
Price reads nice to me.

Looks like a Rosie. 75 bucks for 14c and micarta is terrible. Its a 55-60 dollar knife tops. Good review bro.
75 for micarta and 14c isn't "terrible"
Come on man swing for the fences if you are going with hyperbole. “$5 knife at best”
Price reads nice to me.

@narkfly overpriced in my humble opinion
