I loved this game growing up! Everyday i’d play at least one match before school back in middle school. Despite its many flaws, it had so much promise. I grinded hard to unlock The Anger outfit. One of my PSN names was inspired by this game too. BTW: I do believe the Resistance were kinda bad. If you blow up the ARK, The Resistance leader is furious about it because he never gave that order. I believe his main goal was simply fair and equal treatment for all, not the ARKs destruction and subsequent mass casualties. The Resistance more than likely killed more people than they helped.
When this game first came out, i had such high hopes. Ultimately, this game was a let down. I wish someone would buy the rights to this game and give it a second chance
Well it depends on what is your beliefs are, the people who are trying to save the ark believe that isolation is the best way to survive however the people who are trying to escape the ark believe that freedom is the best way to go. I believe both sides actually achieve their goals in story actually, the one side escapes the ark the other side saves the Ark by defending the reactor. So it depends on what you think is right I don't thing any side is bad here but If i would be on that are I would really want to escape it and if you watch the other sides ending they find life outside the ark actually.
Honestly, if anything, the resistance are the bad guys. The story is that the Earth was being destroyed by natural disasters, and the Ark, which was originally designed as an experimental, floating, self sufficient city, was the only place left in the world that was safe. So people started trying to find it and quite a few of them actually did end up finding it, and they were welcomed into the city. But the Ark was only designed to hold 5,000 people, and with all the refugees coming in, they were at 45,000 and increasing. The refugees started the rebellion because they didn't have enough food or shelter to live and they believed that the rest of the Ark was holding out on them, and the Ark had to develop a security force to counter the rebellion. Tldr: the rebels are refugees who came to the Ark and now want to destroy it because they don't think they're being treated fairly.
Completely yes. Don't listen to that idiot trying to say the resistance are the real badguys To put it plainly, security and the founders are oppressing and neglecting the refugees. The security storyline literally starts off with the head of security getting pissed off that he can't use lethal force 24/7 against any resistance member or refugee that tries to stand up for themselves Throughout the story the security forces are constantly talking about killing the refugees and resistance, calling them terrorists, how their peaceful protests were just lies (they really weren't) and it's even got a bit of intrigue with security high personnel lying to their officers (why was Nechayev sent to the infirmary when he was perfectly healthy? WHY did they lie about the outside world still being around?) Along with that, as I said the refugees are oppressed. They're forced to live in complete squalor, literal rusting, dirty, rubbish filled container cities while everyone else on the other side of the wall lives in relative comfort with easy access to food, water and medication, something the refugees don't have The security forces and their people have access to high quality weaponry and clothing whereas the refugees and residence have tattered, taped together clothes, a lot of which are labour uniforms like firefighters and garbage truck overalls, and have to slap their weapons together with tape and random bits of trash Mokoena also mentions how, 13 years ago, some people were sent out and tortured to death for the location of the Ark This doesn't line up for 2 reasons 1) 13 years have passed and they still assume the outside world to full of savages (through one singular interaction with them I should add) 2) how do they know their men were tortured for the location? Were they listening in the whole time? And if so how come the outsiders couldn't use that tech to find the Ark? If they were successful in torturing the information out of their prisoners, what happened to them? Did they make their way to the Ark and raid them? Why don't more people know about it? It's all incredibly sketchy. You can argue that the actions of the resistance may go too far sometimes (like the nuclear reactor) but they are far from the bad guys and the security forces and the founders are objectively evil (they literally suggest to kill Nechayev if there's a chance of him escaping. Completely fucked)
When you have all the information, Security is clearly in the right. Turns out, the nearest holdout of survivors are cannibal barbarians. The founders had to move the Ark so they wouldn't be overrun, but don't have the ability to do it again. If the Resistance wins, and makes contact with the outside world, there's a good chance the last holdout of human civilization ends up in the bellies of a Horde of mad max degenerate scum.
