- Apologies to Ben, But the woman with the noisy baby thought it would be a GREAT IDEA to stand right next to the area where the cameras were. But you did a great job anyway. This is a clip from a benefit concert called "ENCORE! ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN" Encore concerts are held every year and primarily consist of Disney Cast Members and their families. EVERYONE has donated their time to this project. Including musicians, cast and crew. This year's event was held at EPCOT world showplace. The charity this year was United Arts of Central Florida. WELL DONE GUYS!!! If you want any information about the writer of this song go to www.andrewmbyrne.com
71 people didn't get extra foam from Taylor
omg riley Hahahaha
Wish I got his foam hahahaha
91 now. October 16, 2016.
October 27 2019 110 people
There’s a girl who comes to Starbucks,
I think she has a crush on me,
I can tell she has a crush on me,
‘cause it’s too big to ignore;
She comes in every morning,
at exactly 8.11,
when the clock says 8.11,
She comes walking through that door;
And then one fateful morning,
when she made her usual entrance,
I could tell that she was nervous,
and she had something to say,
So I smoothly flipped the lever
to prepare her double latte,
and she said her name was ‘Kristin’,
and I came back with ‘Hey’.
And I told her ‘My name’s Taylor, and here’s a little extra foam’,
When she left, I cleaned her table,
and I found a folded napkin with this poem:
“Taylor the latte boy,
bring me java, bring me joy,
oh Taylor the latte boy,
I love him, I love him, I love him!”
So I should have got my nerve up
and just said I wasn’t interested
but since she was clearly interested
it all got out of hand;
‘Cause before I found her poem
we had had this conversation
I had told that I was playing
in the village with my band
When I walked in friday evening
to our gig in Arthur’s basement
I saw Kristin in the front row
and I heard her scream my name
Then my friend said, “Man she’s crazy!
She’s been here since 7:30,
and she told me she’s your girlfriend,
and she’s really glad she came!”
And then when our gig was over
she followed me the whole way home.
As I ran to try and lose her
I composed another version of her poem:
Kristin, The Stalker Chick,
You’re a psycho, and you’re sick,
oh, Kristin, the stalker chick,
you scare me,
you scare me,
you scare me!
I used to be the kind of guy
Who never was rude or doubting
but now I’ve got this lunatic freak in my life
every night now at my window she’s shouting,
“Taylor! The latte boy!”
“Go away, I’m not your toy!
Taylor the latte boy..
is calling,
is calling,
the police!”
Many a girl has let me court her,
but I’ve never needed a restraining order
Kirsten, come find me now,
I’m transferring to a new Starbucks,
there’s 20 on each block,
so good luck
Thank you
But what about when he gave her a free triple latte
Rose Riley pre table clean
@@bl9298 This. It was a different day.
he poisoned it
@@lilrussianchef GETCHA CUPPA POISON COFFEE
He sang that she ain't another version of the story lol
Literally just heard the original today and as someone who has worked in a coffee shop for many many years, I’ve had my fair share of overeager customers 😂 I’m just trying to do my job with a smile, everyone gets a smile
epic win!! the original version is one of my favorite songs, and i always thought that the "carol" chick was reeeeally stalker-ish! this song rocks and ben is great!
I sing it from time to time at karaoke, only if the crowd is small enough that people are going to have a moment to look up at the screen and see the words, seeing as so little of the general population is familiar. Once in a blue moon, somebody's there who knows it, and one night in downtown Dallas, it was this awesome gal who does a little ghost tour and wraps it up at the bar. Now, our KJ has a strict rule that he will not let the same song be sung twice in one night, so you can imagine my surprise when I heard the familiar 'ping!' start. Then she began singing and I realized, "OMG, she knows *_the answer song lyrics_* !!!!!!" EPIC.
Pretty sure this is fabulous and I love it! He did a great job. Unfortunate that the noisy baby reigned over some of his solo, but it was still great (:
Yes. Just yes. We are singing this in choir and I saw this and I was like...yes.
I just bummed the rebuttal doesn't explain the free triple latte. :P
Julia he messed up, so he had to give it to her free
They work for tips...
"Lindsey, the stalker chick
You're a psycho and you're sick."
Haha, BEST part :)
He's got great comedic timing.
Really good job!
actually it IS Lindsay, if you check the other videos in this series you will see that Laylor the Latte boy was sung earlier in this concert by Lindsay Bethea. So he is refferring to her and not Kristen Chenowith
oh my god, i can just imagine kristin's face when she saw this! EPIC!
OMGosh!!! Too funny! I love Kristin Chenoweth's version of the song and he did a great job with his imitation of her singing. I'm pretty sure with her sense of humor, she is doubled over laughing, too. And, yes, I know the original name and songwriters are different.....lighten up and laugh along!
Klynnla G omg rite XD😂
I would just be worried that Lindsey has a particular set of skills. She will find you and she will stalk you.
I wish I hadn't heard this song, because I thought the original was very sweet and funny, and most importantly, it seemed like Taylor genuinely liked the girl back (he paid for her coffee!). This is funny too though, but I don't think it's as well-written as the original. But I like this performance.
He did genuinely like her. This song is like lol sew funnee and stuff but it's not how Taylor would respond.
Isn't there a third one sung by a cop who took Taylor's statement?
Where?!?!?
That is absolutely fantastic!!! Classy, well-sung, and well-written! Thanks, Ben!
As a huge "Taylor" fan this is quite simply the funniest thing I've ever watched on the You Tube. Has made my week - just brilliant.
I love Kristen version, but this guy is great...not only the song itself but his voice is amaizing.....
Very well done. Great musical theatre voice. Love it.
OMG this was Hilarious !!!! "you scare me you scare me you scare me" !
THIS WAS 8 YEARS AGO WTF
THAT MAKES ME FEEL OLD
AND IM NOT EVEN THAT OLD
XD
Now it's been 11
THIS COMMENT WAS 4 YEARS AGO WTF
Yeah. Memo to people with babies: we can actually hear them when they cry and scream. I mean, it is audible - just in case you were wondering. So, I dunno...... Maybe concerts and theatres, where hundreds of people are trying to enjoy themselves, are not the best place to take them? Just a thought.
Ben, you did a great job anyway.
I think the name, "Kristen" was not used on purpose. For many reasons, some legal, perhaps. However, that aside, was too funny. Now men singing how they don't want to be boy toys when just 20 years ago, so many men would have loved to be considered boy toys. A very fresh and inventive way of expressing the attitude of 'today's man'! Unless, of course, one was Angelina's, Brad's, Ricky's, Katy's, etc…boy toy, in which case, most wouldn't complain! Even Madonna's….and she could be many of our mothers. But she can bring it…and the goods, so a year or 2 as her boy toy, I think most would happily supplicate! Great song and comeback and done well..without being overdone! Kudos.
Kristen didn't write it, she just use her name in the song. Its actually Carol. Some singers who can fit the name in it do that.
Oh my gosh. You insert your name. For this girl it's Lindsey
It’s actually carol on the sheet music
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK SO PERFECT
"go hooome girl..I'm not your toooy"
"Taylor the latte boy..is calling the police"
"come find me now
i'm tranferring to a new starbucks
there's 20 on each block
so gooooooooooood luck!"
KKKKKKKKKKKKK
best parts
this is wicked funny! i sang "taylor the latte boy" for an audition, and this response is hilarious!! great job!
My Choir teacher sang this at the last choir concert in october !!! (very funny!)
Love it!! Ben, thank you for making me forget about tonight's insomnia.
Aww the poor girl. You have an awesome voice!!
The baby is my life
hes the perfect singer for this song
he's cute and he has the attitude of Taylor the Latte Boy :D
... the baby kind of has good comedic timing adding that shrill shriek during the psycho piano. 2:29-2:31 Might just be genius.
@transcendentalmilk The original was played earlier in the concert, so they all knew what he was singing about.
ha ha ha I laughed till I cried. Ingenious!
The name of the girl depends on the name of the soloist. The girl who sang the original song at this benefit was named Lindsay.
I watched this then started singing:
YANDERE THE STALKER GIRL
hi syd its dolce
Singing Taylor the Latte boy for choir! This made my day!!❤
hahahahaha sadly, i know a million guys who would probably sing this to me. brilliance.
@MissusKaiba16 My guess as to why people insert their names is that Kristin did, and she appears to have worked with the authors, so one would assume they found that acceptable, at minimum, and possibly even enjoyed it. (For those who are interested, the story of the song's origin is in their Wikipedia article - just search for the song.)
This is GRAND!!
Still laughing 10 minutes later! Thanks Ben! Nicely done.
This is so hilarious! It makes me laugh every time i watch it :) It's cute. He did a really good job!!!
I love this so much!!! LINDSAY THE STALKER CHICK!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, I LOVE this! Great job!
Transcendentalmilk: this was done as part of a concert that we cast members at WDW put on each year as part of a group called ENCORE! Each year we change the local org. that will get all the benefits from the three nights of shows
@MysteriousBlackHole The girl's part is sung by Lindsey, who sang the original Latte boy song right before Ben sang the rebuttal
we have to sing taylor the latte boy as our women's sectional in chorus, so i enjoyed this very mukh, as i kannot stand Taylor the Latte Boy
@MissusKaiba16
Lyrics were Marcy Heisler
and The Music was Zina Goldrich (has sheet music)
I think of Kristin Chenoweth being the one stalking him. Hahaha!!
i'm using this as refernece for how to perform this at a school concert. epic. absolutely epic.
Best version of the rebuttal.
I remember that the first time I heard this, I also heard a police version, but I can't seem to find it anymore...
Brilliant!!! Never heard the response before!!
ummmm wow I love this... what else to say.... also I love the screaming baby in the background!!!
This is HILARIOUS!
My nephew recently did this as part of a showcase with his theater group. I thought he did it pretty well, but now I have to take off points because he didn't sing the first chorus in falsetto.
WOW THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!
I'm OK...I can breath. It took me a couple of days and within those few days I showed it to all by bffs, parents, siblings, fanily, and think I might have posted it on to my facebook profile...lol
Ben I love it!!!!! That was the funniest thing I've found on youtube in months!!!!!
awesome, awesome, awesome.
best version I saw for this song, way to go!
GO AWAY GIRL, I'M NOT YOUR TOY
FECKING BRILLIANT!! so hilarious
this is so funny!! I love the song Taylor the Latte Boy, but I had quite a different picture of Taylor, and the girl singing. (The name seems to change with whoever's singing it.)
THIS IS BRILLIANT
And this is the perfect comeback...
oh god i love this so much.
I have never laughed so much in my life
@marigold101xox Kristen Chenoweth didn't write the song, she just is the singer who made it known. And I think what MissusKaiba16 was getting at was that the "character" that is portrayed in the original song is named Carol
this is soooooooo funny my music teacher showed us this lol hahah its was funny cant stop listening to this
Awesome!!!!!!!! :D
LoL
Good luck Lindsay! ^^
Best one yet
So gooood luck !!!!
Okay, you've gotta go see the "Taylor the Latte Boy Officer Response"...it's, like, the conclusion to a trilogy. Pretty funny.
If I worked at starbucks, and kristen chenowitz wrote a song about me, I'd wouldn't react the same way Taylor did.
She's my absolute dream girl. Beautiful, can sing, great sense of humor and under 5 feet tall.
At the very end Kristin shouldve popped up and chased him off stage lol that wouldve been hilarious!
LOL, this is so funny...I don't think he makes the girl's voice though, I think it's someone else doing that...but great performance!!!
I love that when he says he callen the police.
Briliant! He does it so well
Genius!
I heart this so!!!!!
GENIUS
that made me lmao so good and i think kirsten would like it too good job mate loved it
999k views was the most exciting thing for me 😅
I may have just laughed my booty off. OMG.
"I'm transferring to a new starbucks, there is 20 on each block so goooooood luck"
Ahhhhh oh my gosh. I think I died laughing. This is like the best thing ever. :)
I think I have a crush on Taylor the latte boy.
At least the baby wasn't crying. In some way the infant made it funny like he/she wanted to be a part of the performance. The little giggles and babbling "ya ya" is kind of cute.
My dreams of caffeinated romance have been dashed. D: How could you, Taylor?! I thought we had something!
oh my nostalgia
LMAO "Lindsay..the stalker chic..." lol that was priceless
"Lindsay the stalker chick, you're a psycho and you're sick... oh, Lindsay the stalker chick, you scare me, you scare me, you scare me..." xD
Awww too cute and funny :)
this is GOLD!!!!!!
AMAZING
I LOVE IT!!!!! Too bad my name is Lindsey; Totally sounds like something I would do though....
Lindsay The stalker chick is sooo funny!
I LOVE this!!🧍🏼
I think it would be great if they turned these two songs into a movie. Not just a stupid comedy, but something with some drama and action in it too.
Yes!!! Love the poem!! :)
