Hi Peter, one hint: Price stated in the review is EU-Price incl VAT (19%) For orders outside EU VAT will not be charged, price will be 920 USD, not 1064 USD. Cheers, Wolfgang
Great view of our watch Peter! I'm glad you like it so much. I'm a big fan of orange dials myself ;-) Wolfgang and myself are always pushing the bounders on quality and innervation while trying to keep the price point down as much as one can. We limit them because we're always developing something new and unique to present the watch community. I'm designing new stuff all the time, sometimes up to 2 years ahead of release. Both Wolfgang and myself scuba dive, so all our watches have to be dive rated and practical, regardless of what type of watch we make. It's a little quirk of ours ;-) Limiting them also helps drive vital sales, which is important for a small brand, the "get it while you can" approach. It is how Rick Mari and myself operated DOXA reissues in the early days, very limited editions to drive sales, often some SUB's were as low as 50 pieces in the very early days. Now look at where DOXA is today! I deliberately designed the helicoprion to feel like a 38mm watch, although it is 40mm, the sweet spot size IMHO. You are correct, the case design plays a huge part why it feels 38mm,. Also on the wrist it feels way more like 10.3mm thick, the case wall and ring thickness, as the eye never really notices the glass thickness or what's hidden by the wrist. The case design is also designed for maximum wearer comfort, which is something extremely important to me, so I'm very please you picked up on it. Creating beautiful watches for people to own and enjoy is Wolfgang's and my passion, it is our obsession. Money isn't our main driving force! Money just gives us the ability to create even more beautiful watches for people to wear and hopefully by doing so, build a highly successful unique brand people look to buy a watch from. Thanks again for the great review Peter! Have a great day!

Regarding the price, I talked to him about that too. If he would sell them any cheaper, he would probably lose money. I love Lapis, full stop, so the choice for me would be an absolute no brainer. There is much to like about this watch, the hands, the movement. It's a tad thick for my liking but that's barely a quibble and would not be a deal-breaker. Nice one Peter 👍
Beautiful watches. It's nice to see the screws all aligned, I've seen reviews of watches that cost 5X as much with misaligned screws. Now if I only had an extra 1K lying around.😅
It’s a stunner. These also seem to take some inspiration but an original watch through and through. And I also have no problem about increasing overall thickness for a domed glass. Thanks for the great review. Maybe they are taking a play out Zelos’ playbooks. 🤔.
I've been following Heinrich after watching one of your reviews. I only hope they make smaller-size watches like 38mm. Love your videos! until next time cheers mate!
Very nice watches I'm not usually a fan of the 6 o clock date (or 3 o clock either, give me no date or a 430 date) but the 6 o clock date looks decent on these, well done 👍
Hi Pete- good review! Not my style but very nice pieces, love the perfect brushing on the screw-down bezel. Honestly, $1100 for a watch with a decent chunk of lapis in it doesn’t seem unreasonable. Not a cheap stone.
Pete - Such interesting point you made on the crystal height. A 13mm height with a boxed/domed crystal is going to look and wear very differently compared to 13mm with a flat crystal at the same level as the bezel. Measuring up to the bezel might provide a better indication how the watch will wear in that dimension. Cheers!
These are very good looking pieces. I agree, especially that realle even and subtly colour shifting Carnelian. I do like it more when it looks more saturated, orangey red, then when it lightens up under very strong light. While I love natural materials, in something as precise as watches, I do feel that it can matter quite a bit which exact watch you'll receive, so I'd much prefer it when manufacturers offer this, that they sell on the basis of great photography and footage of each individual watch. That would sooner, for me, justify the premium for the use of this material. The lapis lazuli as a stone, I feel is perhaps better reserved for dressier applications, like the Toledano & Chan recently. Here that Carnelian stands out. This design is cleaner and quieter than the buzz-saw original, and I think perhaps the better for it. I quite liked the original too, but the exact colour and pattern execution mattered a lot. Here I feel the design underlines it's sportiness even more and therefore seems to communicate its identify more clearly. For me the thickness really is a bit of a push for my preferences, but then so is such an overtly sporty watch. I cannot help but appreciate the design and execution though.
Hahaha...I apologise in advance 😊😂 This one is a real beauty, I am still wearing it after the review...I might give this a month on the wrist as I am enjoying its natural tonality off that dial..👍

Hi Pete, great review as always. Love some parts but not others, eg love the fact that they frame the date window, I think if you have a window pay it respect colour matched & framed. That bezel love or hate I think, for me too thick & detracts from the dial. If you going to feature an exotic dial material then make that the feature not a bezel which is static anyway. In this range of price there to much other brand more famous before thinking in buying this model, its nice of course but unknow, for this price you can buy frederique constant,or new mido comander with certification cosc with perfect acuracy,etc..etc..
thanks for your feedback! Of course its your choice, but why not support a young small brand instead of going for the famous. If people would always go for the established brands the watch world would be less diverse and less exciting imho. Regarding your comparison: Mido Commander retails for 1300 USD, this one is 920 USD. 30% difference. Also both watches are different by design in many ways and specs. Not a fair comparison.
@@WolfgangHeinrich my choice will be about acuracy,i was speaking of mido because i like is old fashion look and the cosc certification,i am a little tired of watchvwho loose 30 seconds per day,for this i prefer brands with accuracy of 2 0r 4 seconds per day,but if tbis new brand have a good precision i will be interested of course, you knkw when your budget is very limited you need to be sure your meking the good choice,if i will be disapointed and want to sell the watch for buying an other it will be hard to sell a new but unknow brand, you see?

This is marketing! That's the main problem nowadays! They just want to earn money thus they go with limited editions & when watch collectors hear that, they rush to buy those limited editions & in this way, that company has collected the sum they were expecting. One must always be on halt in life concerning watches as nowadays, we have got a multitude of options. Rushing fast & furious means we aren't a good observer enough to see it's a trap going for limited editions because the watch company has decided to make limited editions! Watch out fellows, don't let yourself get fooled by limited editions.. Think twice & think we'll. I'm not against those watches... They are awesome... But for that sum... I'll go for other brands.

I agree Rob..that dial has a subtle vein running through the gemstone and it can be seen in certain lighting angles..so cool 👍
thanks Rob 🙏
not bad
Handsome pieces and for the price, I believe it’s a steal! The only thing that I don’t like is the”Limited Edition” B.S. ! It’s just a marketing gimmick that Seiko is a master of.🙄😤
In this range of price there to much other brand more famous before thinking in buying this model, its nice of course but unknow, for this price you can buy frederique constant,or new mido comander with certification cosc with perfect acuracy,etc..etc..
thanks for your feedback!
@@micaljimenez7381you say you go for accuracy and buy a mechanical movement? If you want accuracy, go for quartz. When buying a watch you go for what your heart (and wallet) tells you, not what type of certification it has lol
To expensive for this type of watch. You can get for half the price a similar watch with a Lapislazuli/meteorit dial from a microbrand. The tiny lume spot at 6 o clock is a joke.
alright ✌️☮️
Sold out! I got one of them… any questions? 😂 Peace ✌🏼
@@WolfgangHeinrichOh Mann, was brauchst Du Nerven wie Drahtseile… bei all diesen Kommentaren. 😅 Freue mich auf die WatchTime, Wolfgang. Viele Grüße, Gregor
@@corrado16v91 danke Gregor 😅 Bis bald 👋
this is San Martin
I thought the exact same. Case shape, bracelet and clasp. Lapis dial, and surprise suprise the orange agate dial is also being released soon by San Martin in their sn0129
Yeah, but I don't want a San Martin.
You might be onto something here 😂. I reviewed a San Martin which had the same case and bracelet.
well, i just checked SN0129 because of curiosity. Different case, different bezel, different bracelet, different movement, different sapphire chrystal…Stone used on the orange watch is Carnelian, not Agate. Then any other watch would be San Martin too 😉
@@WolfgangHeinrich sn0116 is the model with the case/bracelet/clasp similarities. Sn0129 is the model with the dial similarities.
Can't deal with those faux screws on the front bezel. but nice dial.
Whats not to like about German watches.
sirve para futuros en crypto?
microbrand don't choose a beads of rice bracelet challenge, failed
I’m new to watch collecting . I think the beads of rice looks great. Please let me understand more of why you call it a fail . Appreciate your thoughts .
Just get a San Martin for under 300$.
1014.93euros?
Are they out of their minds???
That's what you pay for sellita and german made these days. I just looked across Ickler brands, similar price, some even more expensive.
@@DrDjDD Who in the world and in the name of Jesus would give that kind of money for a German watch?
Even German cars are not good these days.
Heinrivch??//What kind of a name is that?It brings to my my mind an SS officer or something...
@@DrDjDD I'd rather get the movement and place it in a case of my preferance for 200 euros.
Or buy a Bulova or a Tissot or a Longines....
I think that is common logic.
@@bladimirkroutska3707,
Well there are plenty to choose from. Regarding German watch industry, you should have a closer look before making that statement.
@@bladimirkroutska3707 by clicking on your profile i saw your last comments made also in other videos and it was always about prices being too high so I will not invest the time to justify price here..And please stop hating and trolling and put a little love in your gentle soul
First! 🫡
Slots on the screw heads are all over the place.
The lines align with each other as they go along the circle. That seems to be a smart design choice imo.
I like your videos & must say that these particular watches are hideous. The faux screws around the bezel are screaming Invicta.
I wouldn’t take one of these for free. 🤮
Ouch..😂
Ganz ehrlich mein Freund, Dir würde ich weder eine Uhr verkaufen noch schenken, solange ich mir meine Kunden aussuchen kann. Niemand wird gezwungen! Peace ✌🏼 ☮️
Imagine homaging a San Martin😂
I approve. Great looks ❤️
Date window is very ugly
i hate ur videos, Peter…. u’re making me broke after each uploads….😢😂…. i’ve lost counts how many watches i bought after watching ur videos….🙏🏻🫡
So sorry bro...I try to get watches on the channel that I personally like and unfortunately they also resonate with many hahaha
Enjoy the hobby and try to stay disciplined 😊😂
