I've been having a lot of luck with the following: Cloyster (Skill Link, Jolly, 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4SpDef) @ Focus Sash (better than White Herb in this case) -Shell Smash -Icicle Spear -Rock Blast -Ice Shard -Blissey (Natural Cure, Bold, 252 HP, 252 Def, 4SpDef) @ Leftovers -Thunder Wave -Seismic Toss -Softboiled -Heal Bell -Garchomp (Sand Veil, Jolly, 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 SpDef) @Lum Berry -Swords Dance -Outrage -Earthquake -Crunch (you could slash this for Stone Edge or Fire Blast, last slot is really up to you)
I think Heatran is also a great member to run with Gyarados and Garchomp. Double resists ice for a garchomp pivot, and Gyarados immune to ground for heatran pivot, obviously having garchomp immune to electric for gyaradps. You could also run scizor with heat heatran and switch in a flash fire when the opponent attempts to use a fire move on scizor. Scizor having u turn and stab technician boosted bullet punch is incredible in the battle tower
Hot take: Dragonite> Garchomp Dragonite is a bit stronger defensively especially if you have the hidden ability, also extreme speed comes in soo clutch when you go up against cheese
@@Meclord24 yeah I’m a bit biased as well because how much I love Kanto but Chomp got a bit of a nerf with the introduction to fairy types. Like you could argue that Dragonite also got that same nerf, but considering the amount of cheese in the battle tower, I feel like you could counter it better with Dragonite: it has extreme speed which was a deal breaker for me. There’s just Pokémon in the tower that literally have no business outspeeding a full EV Speed Garchomp and having a hard hitting priority move can come in clutch. another deal breaker was that I didn’t want to go through the trouble of breeding a chomp with outrage so I just grabbed a dragonite instead
@@pp3917 Oh yea for sure its way harder to get really good pokemon in this game then it is in sword and shield if you need some stuff HMU and I can hook you up tho
I’ve tried both and preferred Garchomp because swords dance makes it so much stronger where dragon dance often doesn’t cut it. Multiscale is definitely clutch though
3:50 'I got really lucky with the nature.' You don't nature-hunt your legendaries than? Just breed a random couple of Synchronize Ralts until you got all the natures you need.
Tried to run a specmence on battle tower but it's mostly hit or miss. Gonna try that Cloyster as i've seen it to be very reliable on a couple of battle tower vids.
I ran adamant gyarados without the figy berry and a random dugtrio destroyed me. It outsped my gyarados and spammed rock slide. The thing keeps flinching so I can't get a d dance off and I couldn't switch out because of arena trap. Haven't touched the tower since lol
I've been having a lot of luck with the following:
Cloyster (Skill Link, Jolly, 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4SpDef) @ Focus Sash (better than White Herb in this case)
-Shell Smash
-Icicle Spear
-Rock Blast
-Ice Shard
-Blissey (Natural Cure, Bold, 252 HP, 252 Def, 4SpDef) @ Leftovers
-Thunder Wave
-Seismic Toss
-Softboiled
-Heal Bell
-Garchomp (Sand Veil, Jolly, 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 SpDef) @Lum Berry
-Swords Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Crunch (you could slash this for Stone Edge or Fire Blast, last slot is really up to you)
Oh yea no cloyster is a gem in the battle tower and can just blast through teams. really nice team there works really well! 😀

Definitely a good substitute I might be a bit biased because I love chop so much lol

You have to use an ability pill to get rough skin for Garchomp in BDSP
I learned that after looking around thanks my dude

That garchomp is a “she” haha
There is always THAT guys lol
@@Meclord24 hehehehehe
I completely wrecked the battle tower in sword n shield but bdsp BT is hard AF!!!

I’ve been seeing that as well especially in the comments lol
Fate is smiling on me so far. My team:
Slaking (truant, adamant, 252 attack, 252 speed, 4 def) @choice band
Giga impact
Sucker punch
Earthquake
Hammer arm
Heatran (flash fire, modest, 252 special attack, 120 HP, 136 speed) @leftovers
Lava plume
Flash cannon
Earth power
Protect
Dragonite (multiscale, adamant, 252 attack, 160 HP, 40 defense, 56 speed) @leftovers
Dragon dance
Roost
Fly
Brick break
Gyarados - Moxie - Jolly: Dragon Dance(x1) -> Waterfall w/ Focus Sash should care most if not all
I was having pretty good luck with Latios, Gengar, and Milotic. The only thing that beat me was a Dry Skin Toxicrok.
first
love the name lol
I feel like evasion moves didn't do much in sword n shield but in bdsp they are good
what are the evs?
Bottlecapping legendaries is a good idea since you usually only get one per save file and they can’t breed with anything
What?? You can get unlimited bottle caps with BP.
@@medogerty6013 Pretty sure they meant you generally only get one legendary per save file.

Certified Bruh Moment tbh
Dont flying types and pokemon with levitate ignore arena trap?
@@2Legit2Quit9002 "Arena Trap does not affect Flying-type opponents, or opponents with the ability Levitate"
@@Meclord24 so then gyarados should be able to switch out of dugtrio because it's part flying right? if so, RIP that battle tower run lol
