I miss this era. And for me, as i regret old times, la tristesse sûr durera. I love the artists, msp, i met James Dean Bradfield, in Scotland many years ago, he is such a nice, gentle person. And talented, gifted. Brilliants. Best wishes from a read head, a french woman. I follow the group since my youth. I am an indie kid. Best wishes from France ❤

Such an underrated song, album, band and lyricist. There’s something of a modern day Vincent Van Gogh in Richey Edwards. Under appreciated in his lifetime and tortured by the unseen demon of depression and alcoholism in a society that didn’t understand it at the time. Both will be remembered by the art they left behind. 💞🌻🌹

    Life has been unfaithful
And it all promised so so much
    I am a relic
I am just a petrified cry
Wheeled out once a year, a cenotaph souvenir
The applause nails down my silence
    La Tristesse Durera
Scream to a sigh, to a sigh
    La Tristesse Durera
Scream to a sigh, to a sigh
    I see liberals
I am just a fashion accessory
    People send postcards
And they all hope I'm feeling well
    I retreat into self-pity, it's so easy
    Where they patronise my misery
    La Tristesse Durera
Scream to a sigh, to a sigh
    La Tristesse Durera

    Will never go away

I love this song so much. People say to me "why? It's so depressing..." No poetry in their bones. Less than 20,000 clicks after all this time? Chronic lack of taste out there...

It's depressing that untalented shite pop industry brats like Billie Eilish gets overrated and wins undeserved plaudits, while genius bands like the Manics go under the radar
I love EVERYTHING the MSP release, but I adore La Tristesse Durera, and I love This Is Yesterday. Tbh it's hard to choose, the Manics fucking rock.
