Great video as always. I'll have to watch it again on the big screen when I get home. Also you do more for NFLD tourism IMHO than the government department for that stuff.
Thanks. I don't remember him mention that but I've done the trip several times on an ATV and I can definitely say I had "throttle Thumb" a few times. I had to invest in a throttle extender.
Enjoyed watching parts one and two, looking forward to part three next week. We have done the West Coast these last two summers, the first year we went from Deer Lake to Buchans, down to Millertown Jct and across the Gaff back through Howley to Deer Lake. Long day but what a run.
Great video Patrick! Love the new camera angles. Most peoples ATV videos are a cure for insomnia, they could learn a lot from you. Looking forward to doing this trip again this summer. Bring on Part 3!
Thank you. I'm glad to know you liked them so much. That trip is a blast and I know several people from Ontario that have done it. I hope you get to do it sometime too. I'm going to check out your channel. Thanks for watching.
That's a really well shot video, stunning scenery and looks like you all had a hoot. I wish you could do trips like this in the UK. Looking forward to part three.
You have become quite the film maker my friend! The cinematography, the narrating and the editing are all top notch! NFLD Dept of Tourism should pay you for making these videos! - - - 1:48 - some drones can be such big complainers. Suck it up ya big baby! - HAHAHA!!! - - - That plane crash site reminds me of the one I filmed in Alberta. It was sitting up high on a mountain just east of the Continental Divide. - - - Love that 360 cam! The beach view at Howley was amazing! Do you need special software to edit the 360 footage? - - - I really enjoy watching these series. Thanx for sharin'!
Hey Quaddingsous! Thanks for the nice comments, I'm glad you liked it so much. You can download free GoPro software to view the 360 video. You have to create keyframes and select the angles you want then export a new clip. Then import that into your video editing software and edit. It's a few extra steps but it's interesting. The cool thing about the 360 video is you can export the same clip over and over from different angles if you want. Part 3 is coming out tonight in a little while. It's uploading now.
Amazing! videos Excellent drone footage, I have watched all of your videos big fan of them. I bought a new 2022 polaris Ranger and plan on crossing the island this summer with m buddys. I live here in Newfoundland. hope to meet up sometime on the trail. I was wondering were I could buy one of your East coast sticker to put on my side by side.
Thank You I'm glad you like them! The Ranger is a nice rig, lots of room. Send me an e-transfer for a few bucks and I'll mail you one, make sure to include your mailing address in the message. My email address for e-transfer is patrickryan57@hotmail.com
Thanks. Our fellas didn't have any luck fishing but a few local guys tenting next to us did and gave them to us. People there are unbelievably friendly.
Have you guys ever went through Millertown Newfoundland. Millertown is on the second largest lake in Newfoundland lot of beautiful country. Looking forward seeing you come through town here
Hey Buddy ! another amazing video, what beautiful views. that's too bad they sold the cloudy pond lodge, that was such a beautiful spot.... if I won the lotto, I'd but it haha OH and at cloudy pond lodge, the bird eating doritos is a Grey Jay, I believe it's Canada's National bird. they are super friendly and usually travel in a pair (mates for life) I see them on the railway when i'm out in the woods. Drone shots were so good ! Which drone do you have? I see you guys had a few drones, do any of you have your done pilot license? I went with the DJI Mavic Mini for that reason. Anyways, amazing video and narration as always. You have a good crew of buddies to ride with, awesome to see. Cheers !
Thank you. You're right it's too bad they sold that place. It's funny you should mention the lotto, a bunch of us said the same thing when we were there. One of the other guys there mentioned he thought that bird was a grey jay. They definitely are friendly. Bruce and I have a DJI Mavi Air, Tony has a DJI but I'm not sure which one. His is nicer than mine though. We all have drone licenses. I had my license before the Mavic Mini came out or I would have bought one of those. Thanks for watching. I hope to see you out on the trails sometime.
Excellent videos and I always look forward to the latest uploads. I am biased about this particular area as I am originally from Deer Lake and those woods roads/trails is where I spent many times riding during my youth and teenage years before I had to leave the province for school and work. I always said the best coast is the west coast of Newfoundland for the scenery. Currently calling Nova Scotia my home and I still enjoy getting out on my local trails but one day I will get the opportunity to get a SxS run back in Newfoundland. Do you happen to have that sticker on your helmet available, be nice to put it on my rig. Stay safe on the trails.
Thank you, I'm glad to know someone from the area likes the videos. The west coast is beautiful! I hope you get the opportunity to get a SxS or ATV soon so you can do the trip. You'll love it. Go to my Facebook page and send me a private message with your address and I will mail you a sticker. facebook.com/CrossingNewfoundlandByATV
Thanks for another great video. The big screen is definitely the way to watch your videos! So my buddy and I want to do this trip on our ATVs. He wants to bring a tow behind trailer for his ATV for gear for camping etc. Is that doable? Would there be any issues towing a trailer across the province? Thanks again!
Don't take a trailer man, seriously. I have heard of people taking trailers and having no issues but I've heard far more issues with people taking trailers that told me they wished they didn't. Are you on ATV's or Side By Sides?
It's doable, but I wouldn't do it. Even if nothing happened, it would take a lot of the fun out of it. Hundreds of folks have done this 2up on atvs without trailers. I'd question my gear long before considering a trailer.
If you are interested in planning a trip like this for 2023 start now. Look at the different routes I have on my website and see what one you like best. Then figure out how many days you want to be there. Book your ferry and hotels in advance. You can always tweak the details later. It costs nothing to book rooms in advance. You have to pay for your ferry when you book it though. Be sure to take some time and read through my website and take some notes. The first trip is the longest to plan. If you go again it's pretty simple.
another great video, these are getting better and better, the drone shots are beautiful.
Thank you I appreciate that!
Was looking forward to this, lots of great footage. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Patrick I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment as well.
Beautiful. I have to do this trip. Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure . 👍.
Absolutely breathtaking, keep up the great videos 🙌😱
Thanks Colton! Part 3 will be out next week.
Great video as always. I'll have to watch it again on the big screen when I get home. Also you do more for NFLD tourism IMHO than the government department for that stuff.
Thanks David, I appreciate that. I love it over there and I love promoting it whenever I can.
Another great Video ...we have awesome scenery in nl..looking forward to the next one...take care & be safe...
You are correct NL is beautiful. Thanks for watching sandhopper2010!
Awesome video! Loved all your adventures. Looking forward to your next video!
Great trip. I'll have to go watch the previous trips. I can't imagine how bad the throttle thumb cramps were on the guy on the atv
Thanks. I don't remember him mention that but I've done the trip several times on an ATV and I can definitely say I had "throttle Thumb" a few times. I had to invest in a throttle extender.
Amazing footage. Looks like an awesome time.
Thank you, it was a lot of fun. Thanks for posting.
Yet again you havent disappointed us with another awesome recap of your trip ! Like usual i look forward to part 3 !
Thank you! Part 3 will be out next week.
Awesome video Pat, keep them coming
Thanks Andre! Part 3 will be out next week.
Great Video! Seven (7) months from today we will be on the Marine Atlantic Ferry to Argentia for our second cross island SXS trip.
Thanks! You can't do this trip once, it's too good! I'm glad you're going back.

Thank you I appreciate that!

Outstanding vid. With all the various camera and drone footage it really helps capture the setting.
Big screen with a beverage is the way to go.
Thanks Ken! I'm glad you liked it. I have yet to actually watch it on my TV yet.
@@EastCoastATV It's fantastic. Not sure if you're into it, but I've love the same distance covered but in a hr long vid.

That lodge at Cloudy Pond looks like a great spot.
It is, I love it there. Thanks for watching.
You mentioned in the video the place was sold and you wouldn’t be able to stay there. I assume the new owners will not be renting?
@@reneaucoin3735 That's right unfortunately. We are pretty disappointed about that.
Headed there in July. I think my brother and I are going to try and visit the gafftopsails plane crash
Fantastic. You'll have a great time. Both of those places are fun spots. Thanks for watching and leaving a post!
what an awesome adventure and big kudos to you for helping others plan same trip
Nice job
Thank you!

@@EastCoastATV I’m from the west coast there but live in Halifax. Hopefully going to plan a trip for the summer
@@reneaucoin3735 Nice. The west coast is incredibly beautiful there, I love it. This was my 14th trip. I hope you enjoy your trip over!
They done a great job on that bridge in Appleton..it was in bad shape the last time you guy were on it..
That's great! I know they fixed a lot of bridges in the last several months. Thanks for watching!
