The machine sounds quiet like my Brothers Dreamweaver Innov`is VM200D I do embroidery, quilting, clothes repairs, make clothes that is why I am checking into the Allegro. Mostly for quilting due to the size of quilts I make on the larger size. Plus I do some crafting work, wall hangings, names, labels etc. The lettering on the Allegro looks perfect for that kind of work.
Somebody please tell they love their allegro. I just replaced a non working brand new one with another one because the dealer wouldn’t give me my money back. Here’s hoping.

I've looked for the hand stitch setting and couldn't find it. I recently purchased my Allegro and really like it so far, but the book it comes with is limited.
I have the Presto 2 and got the Allegro when it first came out and really do like it. I wish the length could be adjusted on the meander stitches, but it was worth the money.
I bought the Allegro machine about a month ago and finally got the time and courage to use it this week. I closely followed the instructions to thread it 3 times and it just keeps having horrible nesting on the underside. I can't figure out how to remedy this. Please help!
I am looking for a sewing machine with a wide harp for garment sewing because I like to sew a lot of jeans and canvas materials. But you are saying this machine does not do hemming. It looks like it would be a great machine for sewing but if it is only made for quilting I will continue my search. Thank you for the nice video.
I sew clothes, and the majority of my fabric is knit. This machine is not good, putting it mildly, for knits. Wovens, yes. Thick layers, yes. Twin needle. No. Stretch stitch. No. I'm deeply regretting buying this machine.
I am sooo spoiled with my Ellisimo Gold II. It is a dream. I will only buy Baby Lock from now on.

Biggest difference is that the Jazz is mechanical and the Allegro is computerized.

Increase the tension to 9.

This does hem jeans. Carolina Sew N Vac has a video showing stitching through 8 layers of denim.

My wife needs a new sewing machine. She destroyed hers making bed pads for my brother who was fighting cancer #quilting
Try a Brother. They're very hardy. Kudos to your wife and you. Prayers.
Buy something else. Lots of people complain about this particular machine.
