    I believe that paw paws are often also called Guanabana or custard apples. If you want to try the flavor, Goya has a guanabana nectar that you can try. It’s absolutely delicious

      Many people are confused about this. Pawpaws (Asimina triloba) are native to the northeastern United States and are deciduous trees. In contrast, guanabana (also known as soursop, Annona muricata) are tropical trees.

    How are you doing your fertilizing w them?

      We don’t fertilize. We’ve been putting a heavy layer of mulch in the entire food Forrest for years now and the soil is black gold. Started out as terrible clay so we amended the soil where each tree.

    I'd love to taste a Paw Paw but have never even seen one. Is it possible to easily grow Paw Paw trees in containers as you can with Fig trees? I de3finitely don't have room for in ground trees. I live in the Seattle area. Thanks!

      Yes, pawpaws could be successfully grown in larger containers. They are naturally smaller trees.

    Thought about trying some pawpaws in the back 40. Don't want it too close to the house because of the smell and because they draw flies.
    Edit: Sounds like the smell isn't that much of a problem put the back 40 is still where I've got room. 😂

      The smell isn't a problem at all, and the trees only get about 12-20 ft tall, very manageable, but they do sucker, which can easily be controlled with a lawn mower.

    Did I miss something? I thought that you said you would show the entire ripening process later in the video. Was that just click bait?

    • @PlantFanatics
      @PlantFanatics  2 місяці тому +2

      There was no clickbait. I said we will show the ripening process as it happens throughout the growing season.
