I think Outlander is one of the most loving, beautiful love stories I have ever watched. The main characters are so captivating and exciting to watch. It makes you wonder why can’t more men be so compassionate towards women’s feelings and sensitiveness. It makes you feel like women should be treated with more respect. I thought he was sensational. Loved it, the best movie and Jamie was sensational.

Jamie is a fictional character, and written by a woman. How could real men ever keep up?
I am sure the men that watch outlander ask the same about women. Why can't women be like Clair? If women acted more like Clair, then men might act more like Jaimie. But at the end of the day, Outlander (Like the Cinderella story and the prince) is a fantasy. Pure and simple. It is fantasy.

I love the vulnerability displayed in the script and within the non-verbals between the actors. It dives deep into places where most shows do not go. This is a major compliment to the director, producers, actors, writers and all the other crew that are involved. It is a high quality, entertaining production. I think it feeds on both male and females basic needs. You can see the trust between Caitriona and Sam; this in itself can be very private, intimate, and sensual. It is rather beautiful and sweet.
THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN ALL OF THE ACTORE ESPECIALLY CAITRIONA & SAM IS SIMPLY MARVELOUS. I AM LITERALLY REWATCHING SEASON 1 FOR THE 99th TIME .......LOL & SMH....MY OUTLANDER ADDICTION IS INSANE
I also keep watching it over and over. It's one of the few movies or shows that I can do that and still enjoy it. Think if you could time travel but couldn't tell anyone.

I came late to Outlander. Binge watched all five seasons in about seven weeks, loved it SO MUCH binge watched all five seasons immediately after first time, and am binge watching for third time!! I love every minute of it. Disappointed, however, that when cast and Diana talked about episode one, season five, no one mentioned one of what I consider the best moments of the whole series- when Rodger grabs the guitar and starts singing Nat King Cole's 'L O V E'., and then showing the beautiful love scenes between the three couples - Brianna and Rodger, Claire and Jamie, and Auntie and Myrta. I thought it was just the most brilliant, unexpected scene ever, in fact, I had to rewind and watch it again! Why this wasn't mentioned, I have no idea!!!

I've had favorites over the years, but nothing like watching the series over and over and over and reading the books over and over and over. Perfection and sooooo romantic. Oh, so lovely a show to watch. Completely absorbed by the great acting every time I watch an episode...The Wedding S1, E7...WOW🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
This show has been a godsend for us during the pandemic! We are thrilled to have found it when we did and to be able to binge watch 5 seasons. Thank you to Diana Gabaldon for writing this amazing story, and to STARZ, and the Outlander team for bringing such a high quality series to television.

@@gabrielleroussel6676 - Get it on DVD. It is sold on Ebay for relatively cheap. About $30. for season 1-4. Season separately for $15. Well worth the money to have it. One of the few shows good enough to watch over and over. I am on my 3rd pass through the whole 5 years worth and still am enjoying it. Makes me want season 6 even more now. Cant wait for the story to continue. BUY IT. You will be glad you did.

I am a heavy reader and a history nerd. A friend was afraid to recommend this series because she was I afraid I would think it was too "chick flicky." LOL, I can't thank her enough. I am bored to tears on quarantine. The history is excellent, the cast is wonderful, the locations are gorgeous, the costuming is beautiful. James Rollins is my go to fiction, but I am definately going to have to read these books!

@@renmarkable7905 Totally agree. I read the Game of Thrones books before the show came out. The show was based on the War of the Roses, the nuance made the show much more enjoyable. I am now on book 6, perfect excuse to binge Outlander again!

it's marketed as a chic lit too, which sells it so short.
The depth of history is fantastic and the sense of just how immediate our history is has really provided me with much enjoyment.

It's a gossip guys. Don't believe it. They are going to start shooting for season 6 at fall. They were going to shoot on may 2020,but, they had to postpone shooting, due to covid-19. He can't go! He is THE JAMIE OF OUR HEART!
These series are the most amazing and wonderful times of mental and emotional health for me. The script and the photography and the actors (every one of them) evoke such truth and life and HOPE for me again. Best said at 77 yrs old , a widow and alone I find “renewed inspiration” while watching every scene and episode in every season. I wish it would go on for the rest of my life!!!! Thank you.

@@pamelavandelden6400 I understand, too, having lost my beloved husband a little over a year ago. Jamie and Claire's love story helps me because in many ways, it is like mine. My husband was brave, kindhearted, and tender, like Jamie. Had a temper, but it waned over the years. He defended the helpless. So many things that Jamie does remind me of how wonderful real, true, committed love is. Love the books, too.

I think the outlander cast is so great because the books/author laid it out for them. Don't get me wrong, the actors work hard. But you have to give major props to a great Author.
You must know your role. So it starts somewhere. Usually in a writer's mind. All these fantastic characters came from one FANTASTIC mind. ❤️
I also enjoy this series. Some of the story-lines are truly heart-breaking. Surprised to learn Cait hasn't won an Emmy yet. Hard to go up against shows about royalty when royalty is a "popular commodity". Thought Sam's acting in the last episode of series one deserved an Emmy on its own...

I loved every character in outlander. Sam will always be Jamie to me. It just fits him. Every character just seems fit the part they play. The only one whom at first seem out of place was Ian. When reading the books , I had a very different image of this character. However as the series continued you just fell in love with this young man. His courage and Loyalty are indeed lovable.

Having been forced into early retirement due to covid-19 I spotted Outlander through sheer boredom of nothing to watch that was worth a fig. OMG!!! I am hooked. I have watched all 5 seasons twice and am going to watch again ... every time I watch it I see something I missed ... the cast is perfect, bravo to the head of casting ... the writers are amazing ... Cat and Sam are the new Romeo and Juliet ... I never want the series to end but I know it must at some time ... maybe after season 50

Am I the only Male that loves the books? I can't find any here in Alabama that have read the books. Just wondering. Lol best book series I've EVER read by the way....maybe I like Anne Rice a bit better but, I do love the way Diana describes everything to a T. Great stuff.
I read the book and watched the series and I think this is best romance of the era. I loved the intensity, pain and depth of the story and characters I don't think there is anything out there like this.
I think the actors being able to get along so well is great is a real plus.

The STAYS in the 18th century weren't made to be tight or uncomfortable, they were intended to be supportive garments to support both the breasts, and the (possibly many) layers of petticoats. Additionally, tightlacing was not common practice, and STAYS were not horribly restrictive, they just require a diffrent kind of movement that we are not used to today due to our unstructured garments.
Thanks for that comment. I sewed some stays myself and I can confirm, that you're still able to breathe, move and eat in them. As if women in the 18ᵗʰ century didn't get stuff done! They had to work pretty hard and were able to do so.

Never got to see it on Starz network. Just got all 5 seasons on DVD and Binged watched it. Loved it and couldn't stop watching it. Actually went through all 5 years worth in just over a week. Now I am going to go crazy until season 6 comes out.

Every actor and actress is so real to their part doesn’t seem like it’s a movie I watch everyday and feel like it’s the first time to ever see when Clair loses her baby Faith I cried through that whole episode like when they both were by Faiths gravesite saying good bye no words can express the realism to that scene😭
I love the Outlander cast. The acting is fantastic. The stars are genuine. It makes a person feel as if they are a part of the scene. All of the characters have a great deal of charisma.

I love this show! Allways with something interesting going on, also the reality in whitch they are in the scenes!. Also because it is talking about time travel in a old fashion way, rather than "futuristic".

The cast of Outlander are amazing gifted actors and actresses. They put a great deal of thought into each scene and it brings emotion into the film we are watching. The directors and behind the scenes people working to create this incredible film based upon historical events and actual clothing, work, and trials they went through are also amazing. The people who work in this film have helped us the viewers appreciate those whom have lived those times, and challenges. We want to research our own ancestry and to understand who they were and what they must have endured and gone through. The films strengthen us as individuals who have our own set of trials to endure in our time. Family, friendships, united purposes, hopes, fears, faith and endurance are portrayed well.

I just recently found OUTLANDER on Netflix. Im in LOVE. I marathoned the first 3 seasons (that's all they have currently). I love the chemistry between all the actors especially Claire and Jamie. Since I cannot continue the series Im rewatching there first 3.
Once they reach America something is just not the same. I often wonder if one of them ( Clare or Jamie) got married in real life and told to calm it down a bit. Just a thought. Didn't like it as much in America.

My wife and I have been watching movies every night for the past 7 years. 2 hour each night choosing between Amazon and Netflix. Our favorites so far "Turn: Washington Spies" and the "Man in the high Castle" We have watched these series twice. We are watching Outlander now and on season 3. So far it is keeping up with the quality of our favorites.

I don't think a day goes by that I don't think about the Outlander family. That story has really helped me through some really tough times and I can't wait for them to start filming again. The only regret is Murtaugh won't be there. I really really wish they had left him in. They had changed things from the books to adapt to tv. I just wish they would have adapted him in the story further. I see no reason why they took him out. If they crossed the line putting him in, they should have crossed the line and left him in the story, especially with the war coming.

Corsets are only uncomfortable because they are not seasoned right and they may be lacing too tight.
Agree! I was just gonna comment that women back in the day worked in corsets because they were made to measure and seasoned well whereas now no one really gives a damn and that's why so many actors complain about corsets. And thus the "corsets were always uncomfortable and means of oppression and restrictions" misconception was born

I wish people would get corsets and stays correct in film and tv. Corsets and stays were NOT painful to wear. They were merely for support. Support for both the body/bust as well as helping support the clothes. It may take a little bit to get used to moving in the certain ways that corsets and stays allow. It may be a bit uncomfortable at first but it’s NEVER supposed to be painful. You don’t just lace someone up super tightly at the get go to where they can’t breath. That’s not what they are for and is a HUGE misconception in the film industry.

I hate to point out the obvious but some Mother's would have their daughter's corsets/stays etc laced far too tight & it was not unknown in Victorian & Edwardian times for young ladies or any ladies to pass out bc their underwear had shifted their organs & they increasingly couldn't breathe well enough. No it's never supposed to be painful but sometimes (& often for young girls, espc if their Mother's were trying to find them husband) it was. Am sure that theatre & TV wardrobe departments (my cousin lives in Manhattan & runs a Department at a theatre in New York's Broadway, & both she & her entire staff are endlessly careful & thorough about historical accuracy, am sure others try their best!🙏💜

I have read the books several times, they are just wonderful and totally absorbing.
Corsets are wonderful...I wore them also exclusively as my undergarments throughout college. They’re not so much restrictive as they are supportive.
as someone who likes to combine modern amd historical clothing, i agree, corsets are what i wear everytime my back hurts a bit and i wore them a lot when i worked as phone assistant, 6 h a day in a sitting positiom made you really need extra back support

I absolutely LOVE Sam and Claire together. They have great chemistry and it's hard to believe sometimes that they are not in love and couple off-screen. I love the series. Outlander has helped me through Covid19 and various quarantines and fear of another outbreak.I am in the US and COVID is such a huge problem right now. It's so good to get lost in the emotions, history, love, and struggles of the cast of Outlander. If I had a magic wand and a bunch of wishes I would be in Scotland - on my bucket list - with Sam, Cait, and the cast. I love the whole cast, also. Frank is ok. Jack Black is a horrible, sadistic, cruel person and I HATE him. So Kudos to Tobias because he seems like a good guy, but his portrayal of Jack is so real and believable it's terrifying. I only watched through Season 3 and I'm scared that my beloved couple Jamie and Claire may not stay together or somehow get separated again. AGH!!!! Thank you to the entire cast for your hard work, talent, and commitment to Outlander. I like if Jamie and Claire can make it, I can make it through this pandemic and no work, no schools open for my daughter, a president who should just NOT BE. You've given me courage!!! My dream is hang out with you all on a warm beach, after spending a lot of time in Scotland!!
I love Outlander. I have read all of the books a few times. Every time a new book is coming out I start reading the books again. Right now I am waiting for the 9th book in the series so I am reading A breath of Snow and Ashes for the 3rd or 4th time.

In season 4, I believe it was episode 2, I saw a vehicle go by in the background through the trees.
I've just finished to look at the 4 seasons on netflix, and I was captivated by the story, and for sure the greatnes of the interpretation of the actors! I'm not able to tell wich actor is the best,I'm not able to choose! All of them are awesome,outstanding and more than ones I was wondering : where do they find deep inside of them that emotion to project outside of them and to make you spectator participant...I'm speechless and I'm waiting impatiently forward for the next seasons🥰🤩🤩💖💋💗💓
The Outlander cast they just fit the bill the way they look Cat and Sam are so photogenic that when dressed in that time period they look like they are from that time. All of the cast have a special connection to that time and they each suit it. The directors did a wonderful job with casting. I saw a video where the director kept waiting for the right women to fill the shoes of Clare Randle/Fraser that it was at the last week before staring shooting of the first season. That’s why I feel that the show is so ethnic and real. I just 💕 the show what nots to love.
I genuinely love wearing corsets. The support is amazing and I don't find them uncomfortable at all. And I wear real steel boned corsets.Though I must say I prefer stays. They are a bit more comfortable and provide more support
I love this show so much in fact I’ve watched the series 3 times already since it’s been on Netflix and I still cry and laugh in the same parts.

Outlanders= Their like a great puzzle, the pieces all fit well together. The colors are set just right, the scenes are
