Nobody handled the media like MJ. The Best Ever
MJ was so good at handling the press... no matter what stage of his career, even when there were those gambling reports, he was just man handling the press. Instead of dancing to their tune, the press was dancing MJ's tune.
that's because he was educated as well as being an intelligent person with genuinely unique personality and lots of confidence to be who he is. lots of nba players today are cocky but you just dont see a whole lot of the same type of confidence from a player like this.
elwingy I’m realizing this after just the first question.
Press: What’d you say to VG?
MJ: Choice words
Press: Can you give us the clean version?
MJ: No
😂😂😂
MJ was really the goat for how he turned the press into his bitches
Ulysses432 They were prying and MJ handled it accordingly
Yea I can’t stand the way the players act today. No professionalism or maturity. I know the press can be assholes sometimes but even when they are not acting that way the players still act dumb. Barkley was confrontational in a different way cause he just kept it brutally honest but not insulting to the actual reporter. Jordan just handled everything so smooth man.
This would have been different in the social media era…
MJ was not as cocky in the media.. the man had huge respect for the Knicks
Mj was so cool...that's why he is the GOAT
Mike was unflappable on and off the court. If the Bad Boy Pistons couldn't destroy his resolve, nobody else even had a chance.
BIGGER BETTER REAL NBA GROUP!!! facebook.com/groups/967348520070287/
The bad boys made him better
@Willie Gordon there was no bad boys in his rookie season moron.. was a totally different team they were a run n gun team
"Give us a clean version"
"No"
~Reporter hangs his head in shame~
Lol
Dude these reporters are damn near fighting to ask a question lol
I hope Van Gundy does't play poker, because he cannot hide his emotions whatsoever.
Dang no wonder MJ is hidden away from media today look at all of them crowded around him. They’re 🎙 all in his face. 🐐🐐🐐💯
Black Jesus Smooth with press!
"WHAT'S THAT NOW...I COULDN'T HEAR YOU!!!" LOL LOL LOL
The good old days when reporters still used tape recorders.-
the good old days when the game was a men's tough game.
Citron: Amen!!
Lol Jeff was extra salty......
20 yrs ago Jeff looked 10 yrs older than his age; today he looks 10 yrs younger than his age, i.e., he looks the same today as he did 20 yrs ago.
Coaching the knicks is a curse
Same with Morgan Freeman. Looked old when he was young, and now that he's ancient still looks the same
they won't even let him finish answering questions before clamoring to get the next question in... smh. incredible. but the GOAT always stayed smooth
Amazing video remember this so well at the time i didn't really think much of it MJ was going to come out either way and do what he does and the knicks continued to be found wanting
TaArxidaMou we are still found wanting
1:11 Creepy guy standin behind the door
Holy shit, that's Silvy from Silvy and Waddell, a long time radio show on ESPN Chicago 1000.
He actually had the best question out of everyone there lol
it is a natural reaction that when someone gives an appreciative laugh at what you said you like it and your face shows it.. those chuckles about the choice words, about not giving them a suggestion how to win etc... he does not show that reaction.... I should try that too :)))
what a power move
@@nicnich7 He is amazing. In every respect.
Jeff still to this day hates Jordan and never gives him credit when he's commenting on a NBA game. Thats why he praises LBJ so hard cuz he cant stand that MJ IS THE GOAT...
FACTS but totally natural
This had absolutely nothing to do with LeBron but hey you haters have to be creative right?
@@legm8034 how is he hating lol bronsexuals man
@@harkiratahluwalia8185 okay Jordansexuals
@@legm8034 6 and 0 in the finals plus the 10 scoring titles makes M.J. the greatest. Add to the fact that Jordan accomplished all of this in 13 seasons while Lebron is still chasing ring number 5 in year 18.
JVG was 💯 right
The one thing i always take from this interview is what i been saying for over 30 years as great as jordan was people think that the the knicks didnt have much of a chance and when you look at the roster makeup its true in many instances but the mike knew just as i thought the only team capable of beating the bulls was the knicks it didnt matter who came out of the west if the knicks didnt beat chicago the bulls would just as they did win it all. Which is why this was the last best rivalry during the 90s outside of indiana and miami vs the knicks .
The Black Cat!!!!
I'm Gundy damnit!
Never talk about 23 like that.or you will get what your lookin for.51 point night
I've seen this game so many times over the years, but I've never seen these interviews. Awesome! Van Gundy was such an ass! Not only did he insult MJ by calling him a con man, but he insulted all the other players who were friendly with MJ by assuming they don't play hard against him.
Cherry Rose Mararac I would say probably like 50% of the people who were trying to be his friend like a Steve Smith who I never saw take a hard foul on MJ. But of his already established friends... none of em held back. Oakley and Barkley used to whallop MJ hard. And guys like Penny were in the other 50% of acquaintances that didn't give a shit. To date I've never seen anyone give MJ the business like Penny. What a player he was before injuries.
He was probably right though.
He is a con man
@@joelerickson1058 you see what those words got Van Gundy
@@meg-k-waldren Penny couldn't give Jordan the business in 96 when Mike put his foot in Penny's ass and sent him and shaq home in a 4 to 0 sweep.
Who’s breathing so damn hard 🤦♂️
You should include the date in the video description when this was. 1993? 1999?
The date was in the title tho...
@@mj23haf Oh, Now i see it. I had to expand it press the button to see it on this newer poop version of youtube. Thanks.

U think van gundy was the coach in 93? N jordan did not even fucking play in 99
@@TheSands83 lmao, some fan group Glen's😂 in
What's worse van Gundy saying what he said or Jordan for 3 yrs crapping all over the pistons in the media bc he couldn't beat them?
No Jordan was getting beaten up by the Pistons.
Well, MJ was a great player. Bit i agree with Van Gundy in that MFs out here tryna be friends with MJ while HE WAS using the shit to his advantage. Like, fuck that...he dont like you, dont go fucking around tryna like THAT MF.
If you ever watched the Knicks vs the Bulls, you'll know that was nonsense. Those games were battles.
Fucking hockey puck
Van gundy was right tho
I would have sued van gundy for all he was worth which isn't much. He was a terrible coach the comment he made was public defamement. An angry little man.
