You wreath is gorgeous! I don't know how I stumbled across your video, but I am glad that I did. I did crafts with my grandmother when I was a kid, but I have not done anything since! I am going to peruse Michael's today to see what I can find to make my own wreath.
Very pretty! Out of all the videos that I have watched, yours was the best! You broke everything down and you didn't make it complicated! Thank you for the step by step! I'm gonna try and make some for my church and family members! 😃
Thank you! Some say my videos are too long, but the teacher in me says to try to make sure I have all the steps for EVERYONE. Some may need those steps and others won't, it's okay. Best of luck to you and thanks for watching.
@@LosingItWithJen Good morning! I was teaching up until I was diagnosed with heart problems! I have congestive heart failure and I have been through a lot! I died they brought me back! My heart was functioning at five percent!! Now I'm starting back to having chest pains because I am stressed about the Covid19 situation! Not knowing where your next meal will come from! Bills exceed your monthly disability payment! When I get back on my feet I'm gonna try to male one! Thank you for being a wonderful teacher!! Blessings to you and your family!!😍🙏🙏
Even your contact paper in the background is in my house! This is soooo my style. Thanks for sharing. I'm new to wreath making and you have inspired me so I'm off to dollar tree and hobby Lobby... AGAIN! 😂
Very cute. I love the little bling at the end, that's an awesome touch. I used Elmer's spray-on adhesive to help with the fraying on the mesh I purchased from the Dollar Tree - it really helped-I sprayed it on before adding the ribbons or any other decorations.. I sprayed on a couple of layers of the adhesive and then sprayed with varnish to set it.
I absolutely love your tutorial. After viewing a few others I decided it was not for me. After watching you made it so easy and I love the bows you made with the ribbon. Thank you so much. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Awesome Jen! You are very talented! I can tell that you are a teacher because your tutorials are fantastic. I am a retired elementary school teacher! My daughter is a first grade teacher who has been teaching for 18 years. I have lots of teachers in my family! Love this wreath.!♥️
I really enjoyed the making of the bow. I'm a retired elementary school teacher and I haven't been brave enough to tackle this but now I feel confident enough to try it on my own. Thanks for doing this tutorial. Maybe I will be able to use some of the ribbon I have saved since I retired. Cathy in Glendale, AZ
This is wonderful Jen. First time watching one of your videos. I will keep my open for after Christmas sales. Hoping to get some supplies for next year!
Thank you for this video! I just bought a bunch of mesh from the dollar store and couldn't find any videos with mesh less than 21 inches wide! This is exactly what I needed!
I went to Hobby Lobby for the first time in my life cause it's two hours from where I live and OMG..... I was in heaven lol. I'm so looking forward to Christmas so I can buy all those sprays and ribbons and you have great taste and always give me great ideas :) I also went to Michaels and was very disappointed cause they literally had nothing for wreath making as far as a variety of mesh and ribbon and everything was a fortune. Driving two hours is totally worth the drive!!
Wow, congratulations! Have you been enjoying it? I think the first time i went to hobby lobby was as a young teen in the early 90s My grandma used to take me there. That store closed but it was at a time when i had started having kids so i didn't have a lot of time or money or places to keep my crafty stuff away from their litrle hands or mouths, lol. In 2012, i got back into crafting again and i am doing my best to make up for lost time! I now live in between 3 hobby lobby stores, 3 Michaels stores and 2 Joanns. The furthest one is about 15 minutes away.
Hello I love your demonstration and I'm interested starting my project will you do a video from the beginning show how to attach to the frame thank you for your lovely work and I like how you take your time to explain I always wonder how to do the ribbon tip lol great job👍
Thanks for watching, For this wreath I used 2 of each color, for a total of 6. I have made fuller wreaths, using 3 of each. I filled in the bare spaces with lots of ribbons and accents. Good Luck.
I have a "Hooville" themed tree with these exact colors and I NEVER tire of it...This is a great video in SO many ways....I do have a question....when adding your mesh bundles, do you just alternate between the two rows...like in a zig zag type pattern ? Thank You so much...Anne
Both wreaths look great. However, I find using the work wreaths so much faster than making and tying on all those bundles. But for the work wreath, try use three of the 10 inch mesh pieces to make it really full and you won't need to add those extra bundles.
So 12 inch cuts of 10 inch wide mesh instead of 12 inch cuts of 6 inch mesh? I am always up for learning ways to make things less time consuming. I have never done this kind of wreath because it just seems like it is a lot of work and really time consuming.
When you put the bundles together do you place all three with the 'bow ends' down or do you alternate up and down? Also do you place the bow tails from the bundles where both 'tails' are both placed over the wreath (horizontally), vertically so it fills the center or so you alternate placement?
No question is dumb :) I use a cutting mat, my new one is much bigger than the one in the video. I purchased my big mat at Wal-Mart in the craft section, it was around $14. I use a rotary cutter, I like the Fiskars brand. They have a ton of cutters, depending on the material that's being cut. this one is for thicker material. I, also purchased it at Wal-Mart for around $10. I hope I've answered your questions, if not feel free to ask away. thanks for watching
I have found that the curl method frays a lot less than the scrunch. I have also used the spray E6000 or Elmer's All Purpose spray, both really help with the fraying.
I used 6 rolls total (2 of each color). These rolls were from the Dollar Tree, so they had less on them than the rolls you'd pick up at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
I am so confused lol was there 6 total rolls of mesh or 9? Cause you said 3 of each color so I just wanna check. It is so beautiful by the way! You do an amazing job!
Curious why you dont have any other videos? Am I missing something or did you get 9k subs from one video lol? Super cute wreath just wanted to see more of your work but couldn’t 😩
Losing It With Jen when I click your name a profile comes up and says “sorry there is no content on the page” I figured that seemed untrue. I’ll try again in a bit
That happened to me too. I managed to buy a gift box in the Christmas section. The box fits perfectly. The box was 17.5by17.5 and only about a couple of inches high. My wreath was 24in but the frame was 18in. So I managed to squeezed it in and it fits perfectly . It dropped the price down to $14 to ship instead of $50.
@@lybuddy where did you get the gift box? And how Did you package the wreath to keep it from getting too smashed or damaged? Especially if it was only a couple inches high.
I believe it depends on your local store. I've seen a lot of people talking about their stores having them all the time. My local store does not always have them, they tend to sell out quickly. Find out when your store gets a delivery, they don't typically know what's on each truck, but that's your best chance to catch them in stock. Thanks for watching.
They usually do every year. However this year I didn't see one. I made a wreath with all Dollar Tree products ua-cam.com/video/Oq-Xjhla_Po/v-deo.html If they don't have one, try Wal-Mart I seen one for $5 - they have cheap ornaments too!

If you use a hot woodworking tool, would the fraying be less?
I've not personally used one, but have seen others have success.
Did you attach all the mesh to the two middle wires
I attached in a zig zag pattern. 2 outer, 2 middle, 2 inner, 2 middle, 2 outer, repeat
Loved your technique using half a pipe cleaner. Your wreath is very full, but couldn't see how many you mesh bows you put on each row. Thank you.
Stacy Guiden thanks, there are 5 bundles per section on the frame.
You make it look so easy lol, it’s so neat and cute. How do you get the mesh to not fray so much?
Thanks for watching. I spray the finished wreath with Elmer's all purpose adhesive, this helps with the fraying.
Each section of wreath how many? You said 2 In middle and 1 on last ring? Dont seem enough
I put 6-7 bundles per section, alternating placement
Beautiful

Did you start with the same color each time you started a bu del or did you change them up?
I try to change them up, so that not one color is dominant.
how long are the ribbons?
I usually cut the ribbons at 15in. It really depends on how much you prefer them to stick out.

The wreath for the classroom, without picks, was from the Dollar Tree. The other was from Walmart

They are hard to come by, when I see them I usually grab a few.
