RHOSLC gave a master class in how reality show casts should handle themselves and the reveals on their shows in the age of social media spoilers. Other shows like Potomac, Atlanta and NJ, as well as shows on other networks, reveal everything on social media, with drama and fighting online months before the shows air. The audience is fatigued before the show airs. Everything is anticlimactic by the time the shows air, the fans have already taken sides and shifted to toxic attacks, and it's just not fun. The SLC women filmed this months ago, and no one has said ANYTHING. They shocked the audience and with stuff the audience actually cared about. I do agree that Bravo knew, and this was all set up to unfold this way from the gate, but it was done well. We know reality show production is all manufactured drama. The issue is whether it's done well. We watch to be entertained. They did that. I am good with it.
After the last episode in December, the episode before last night’s, a dude on Twitter spilled the tea that Monica was running that Avon Tease account dragging the SLC cast and I was like, SWWC! I totally didn’t care and was like, the boring IG page is Jen Shah focused and this cannot be the big reveal. Then I watched last night’s episode and the way it played out and the (the best Bravo editing team ever) superb editing had me floored. The best of the best seasons and villains. Scandavol looks like a Charlie Brown special. I loved everything. Bring Monica Back!!!!! RHOSLC can go nowhere fast without Monica next season. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Happy New Year Guys.
I'm so happy this video came out today because I could not wait to discuss this monster finale with the bros! (Side note the new lights in the cabinet look awesome!) This finale made everything about Monica make sense to me. She's always seemed shady to me, always seemed like a clout chaser, in arguments she always came off like a teenager or an internet troll, and I'd never trust anyone that worked for Jen Shah whether they flipped on her or not. I'm glad that the OGs and eventually Angie all stuck together on this and didn't let Monica steamroll and scream over Heather. Lastly, part of me really wanted Angie to throw those flowers across the table 😂
Them downplaying Jen Shahs shenanigans and being more concerned with image is very on brand for women in SLC! 100% Bravo haaaddd to know! I think Tenesha could have gotten jealous that Monica actually got on the show and was now kiki-ing with the women
I definitely agree with Shooter’s theory…I had the same thought while watching the succession of reveals. We usually hear about what happens MONTHS before. No way this wouldn’t have come out unless Bravo was locking it down.
Shoots is right. Monica basically confirmed in on her live before it shut off. Producers knew (not sure how early before the trip) and she knew when she entered the season that it was gonna come out eventually. Also the von tease news was going around and I'm glad that it was the big reveal and not the beauty lab stuff. Enjoyed watching this season with the bros!

I hate the "getting dirt" part of the HW franchises. I watch these shows for the organic relationships that evolve whether they're toxic or supportive. RHONJ just got so toxic with all the dirt Teresa threw around every season. If these shows start having a "Monica" situation every year, I will lose interest quickly.

As far as the difference between Jen and Monica, I think it's that they were close friends with Jen, and the entire time she was professing her innocence to them. People have the right to believe that their friend is telling the truth, and that may blind them to indulging any doubts that they might have. After she pled guilty, the ladies have cut her off. And while Jen's crimes were incredibly callous, it ultimately was done to other people. Whereas Monica was directly involved in harrassing and tormenting them. How people act in situations is dependent on the situations actual proximity to their own life. You'd feel differently about a war happening in another country than you would about a war happening in your backyard.

Just letting you guys know.. Heather was part of taking down Mary's church in season 2. Who does that? And then write nice things in a book about that same person? I loved this season but season 2 was way more authentic and dynamic with different storylines and conflicts. HOWEVER, the way Bad Weather and Lisa did their best to hurt Mary by coming after her faith, her church, and to this day have not apologized or really taken accountability. Disgusting! Season 4 without Mary wouldn't have been as fun or quirky. She was needed and we defintely need Mary & Monica for season 5 🎉
