I grew up down there and I'll give you a real good lead on where the greatest amount of gold is at around the mouth of the Columbia river. You have to have a boat to get there. It's Sand Island out from the town of Chinook. Bunker Hill Mining actually leased the area from the state in the early 1960's for good mining but the locals sank the big dredge because they believed the lie that the mining company used mercury in their process.

Been there a few times built a special set up and hand cart to carry it along the beach just for Cape Disappointment. Those big pieces of kelp you were jump roping with ? I like to cut both ends of them off and play taps on them like a bugle. Sometimes I’ll bring a trumpet mouthpiece with me because it’s less slimy and sounds better . Also several miles from there in Ilwako , is a place called PACIFIC BIBLE CHURCH that I went to on one of my trips . It was so interesting that I have been following them on line ever since . They have some young musicians that just make up songs that are really good .

Unfortunately once it is law it will never be changed, your rights are slowly being eroded away and enough the you won't be able to scratch ya bum without some one noticing.
Here in Australia we are slowly being wiped out digging for the yellow, people complain but don't act and soon enough High banking is now banned. Good luck and the only thing that will have any affect and is getting together and voicing your opinions big time.
    Cheers

The UN enviromental Cult is effecting us here in Canada too. Corporations have free reign to pollute as they please and the little guy gets blamed and regulated for it all. They won't be happy until we are all locked in our rooms with some sort of device that stops us from exhaling c02.

After California banned motorized equipment, then I had to stop mining in ORegon in 2017, and now WA in 2020. Now the same group of Marxist Radical environmentalist have taken over Boise and now my favorite rivers and streams in Idaho have been shutdown. They are working there way east and also the same lady who was the head of the large environmental group the Sierra Club Cindy Godsey now works as the head Regional EPA director. I had a meeting with them and got to know a lot, they where super nice to me to try and get me to tell them all the rivers and streams with gold in them and where miners would be mining. I ask them if they knew how a dredge or sluice box works and they said they had no ideal and that they did not want anyone outdoors in nature. No more boating, no more fishing, no more floating, no more hunting no more hiking. Watch what happens in how they do it. She said the lead weights, fishing line, bobbers, hooks, spinners etc was polluting the rivers. The people who float throw their beer cans and trash in the river she said, and the hunting leads end up in the river. They dont even want roads anymore, just stay in your home, do drugs, get fat, die young and go away so the land can reclaim itself. From there mouth, I was shocked! Human extinction by making your life a living hell. Fun is now outlawed. Shooting up needles and robbing the stores legal. The people really need to fight back and stand up. I tried, and wrote my congress and representatives, all crickets. I spoke at the podium and laid it all out from my 8 yrs of investigation, two representatives old guys fell asleep after 5 minutes of talking. Sad times...

WA. is changing the rules for everything that has with to prospecting. They don't seem to understand that we are not the problem. We remove lead, mercury, and other garbage. As for the beach mining, when other states changed their laws they started coming to the beaches of WA. So they changed that law also. Bummer for all.

There is a work around to the electric motor issue - Haron's fountain with a slight modification
    ua-cam.com/video/5_Pbb1Ywo18/v-deo.html
At the 2:30 timestamp is what I am referring too
Imagine instead of the small containers using 2 5 gallon buckets. Then you just have to raise the Cube and Hog above (or dig a couple of holes below) so the discharge from the Cube and Hog become the container on the top in the video link above.
I almost got it to work with milk jugs but I did not have rubber gaskets as they do in the video and I got pressure leaks preventing the upward flow. I also used longer tubs between containers which caused failure in my test. I believe it can be done on a larger scale than in the video

The large gold flake that you recovered through the GOLDROP is what we Cape miners refer to as a Cape D nugget. They are rarely found by sluicing as there profile is very flat and generally kite on out of the sluice. The GOLDROP captures them due to the pay dirt being submerged in the trap of the GOLDROP and cannot float away on the water surface.

Really exciting intro with the wave! It's disappointing you can't mine the beach sand anymore with a self contained system... it replenishes and smooths itself out. Seems very low impact. Maybe a bit more order like a claim system or something could be implemented, that's generally when things become more organized and accountable.
Thanks for showing our VDR system! You have a lot of cool tools but I'm sure it will rank with the best of them. We appreciate the video. Take care!

Good gold spots and good fishing spots ya just don't tell people about them because the pressure from people blows up fast.
It's different though for public beaches like this and makes a good spot for those who want to enjoy the activity but aren't able to go to other places due to physical, knowledge, access limitations to other places that produce.

Another excellent video, Shane! I look forward to them every week. I still have two Gold Strike bags waiting to be panned. I really want to video the experience and hope to do it very soon. Of course, you will be the first to see the results! Best regards, Bradley in Centennial
