I live in Washington, and saw your video about Republic WA, now cape disappointment. I love really close to there. I'll have to go there and check it out. Thanks Shane
That was an awesome day! It was super fun showing you around I’m getting to see how crazy the ocean was! Can’t wait to see you next time you come back and we can go get some Oregon gold!
I grew up down there and I'll give you a real good lead on where the greatest amount of gold is at around the mouth of the Columbia river. You have to have a boat to get there. It's Sand Island out from the town of Chinook. Bunker Hill Mining actually leased the area from the state in the early 1960's for good mining but the locals sank the big dredge because they believed the lie that the mining company used mercury in their process.
Glad you found that little nugget Klesh! We saw that in the first clean out, couldn't wait to see you recover it, and with a gold drop, awesome! Was a blast meeting everyone. Thanks Brandon for help running the piglet, and a hearty hello to the Alaskan boat captain randomly lending a hand. Hope you found some Au.
Been there a few times built a special set up and hand cart to carry it along the beach just for Cape Disappointment. Those big pieces of kelp you were jump roping with ? I like to cut both ends of them off and play taps on them like a bugle. Sometimes I’ll bring a trumpet mouthpiece with me because it’s less slimy and sounds better . Also several miles from there in Ilwako , is a place called PACIFIC BIBLE CHURCH that I went to on one of my trips . It was so interesting that I have been following them on line ever since . They have some young musicians that just make up songs that are really good .
Shane awesome video. It was great to see you were in my neck of the woods. You'll have to make a trip back some day and visit the old Monte Cristo mining town.

WA. is changing the rules for everything that has with to prospecting. They don't seem to understand that we are not the problem. We remove lead, mercury, and other garbage. As for the beach mining, when other states changed their laws they started coming to the beaches of WA. So they changed that law also. Bummer for all.
Looks like I'll be heading down to my local beach tomorrow with my shovel, it has black sand patches so I'll see if there is gold there. Thanks for the awesome content.

Yes on up and down the WA and OR coasts.
Some areas good some bad. Most hard to get to.
