    I read somewhere that it is the Robinson family's wish to preserve the way of life of the native hawaiians that have lived there for generations and still live there.. i dont know if its true but sounds cool to me

      It is privately owned by people who do not inhabit or tax the natives on the island…my question then…what good is it to purchase the land and do nothing with it? Not live…not profit…just own it for what? (Serious question because I really don’t know)

      I have uncles that have access to the islands and that’s just not true. They visit and help other Hawaiians on other islands with construction/labor for certain things but they aren’t living on other islands, they only speak original Hawaiian live off the land like the old kanaka maolis. They don’t speak a lick of English or care for the American way of life. They have about 100 of them but they don’t move to other islands to live.

    • @Oh4FoxsSake
      @Oh4FoxsSake 2 місяці тому +4

      @@TravisLambertethey own the whole island. It’s not apart of publicly owned land, so no you shouldn’t be entitled to land your boat there and sunbathe. The entitlement here is CRAZY! This is the *only* place where native Hawaiians are still practicing their original way of life! Part of that being possible is by not being intertwined with non-native people. They speak Hawaiian, they hunt and fish for sustenance. Opening the beaches to the public would put all of that at risk! That you would even entertain this question to the visitors of your channel shows me that you are not a channel that cares about history or sustaining the culture and traditions of the Hawaiian people and that means you’re apart of the problem! I won’t be coming back here and I hope once others see this video that they won’t be either!

      MAUI visits the island damsels on secret special days every seven years, and nine months and nine days later they bear strong and beautiful sons and daughters who never tire of doing good. THIS is why casual tourism, etc. is not allowed. // MAUI besoek die eilandmeisies elke sewe jaar op geheime spesiale dae, en nege maande en nege dae later baar hulle sterk en pragtige seuns en dogters wat nooit moeg word om goed te doen nie. DIT is hoekom informele toerisme, ens. nie toegelaat word nie.
