I think you misunderstood. Nick said they reported that Aimo had skied 250+ miles from where he left his friends. Which means he could have potentially covered 300+ total miles. The 250+ from, is a straight line statistic.
And you have to take into consideration the time he laid on the ground injured before rescue.
yup, this is not including all the zigzags, going around mountains, potential (minor) backtracking. This man went places no one else has been to this day probably.
You guys need to watch him talk about the Bat Bomb. Quick summary. Cage shaped bomb, 2000 bats, jungle jelly, and Marines.
I think we're missing the point that Aimo murdered a log in cold blood and no one is talking about that!
With a compass!
As a navigator, I'm triggered.
What‘s the problem?
🤣👍
Hey the log was staring him down. Sometimes you have to beat the man to be the man
as soon as I see a thumbnail of this guy, it is auto thumbs up before 1 second is played.
I used to be addicted to the stuff. And the whole blacking out is scary youll be at one spot one sec and then the next your on your bicycle 12 miles away
The fact that Nic can tell these stories with a straight face is what really cracks me up. How does he do it?
Nick needs a blooper reel.
alcohol. it's the only way to not lose your shit!!!
Editing lol
Fluck is a super good editor haha
There is another guy I think you would like. A Scottish guy cslledCount Dankula has a video series called mad lads. He did a video on this guy too that's freaking hilarious too.
A lot of people have theorized that the only thing that kept him alive was how cold it was. With a resting heart rate of over 200 14 days after he took the drugs, his heart probably would have exploded if it was warm out.
Nice one lads. Great story this, up there with Doc Ellis and his No No.
I think the Allies used more pure speed type stimulants, the UK forces used Benzedrine, called "bennies". You knew you'd had too many when you started throwing shapes when someone shot a Bren gun.
I love this guy's delivery - he has perfect timing, and as Daniel says, such a way with words! If you want a short reaction, see his video about the Ghurkas.
Think this is my favourite reaction video from you guys. Keep it uo
by far the funniest vid nik has done to date. laughed REALLY hard
omg bert kreischer would be so friggin hilarious in this. make it an action comedy. that would probably crush!
I've been waiting for you guys to get to this one. I laughed until I cried!
Thank you!❤
Ive Been waiting on this one
I still get surprised when I see these "combat stimulants" packed the same way as normal food, candy etc., I keep thinking that they're put in either paper bags or briefcases.
I think that Pervitin was initially marketed for civilians, rather than for the military only.
My stepdad was driver for part of his military career(as well as medic and for a while rigging Chinooks), he used to call them "go pills" 😅
@@jimb9063 It was indeed developed as a "mild" antidepressant and was quite commonly used before the war.
@@robertsmith4681 Heh, mild.
People were also encouraged to use it to perform tasks better. It fitted in well with certain ideas at the time. An improved you, as it were. Like some sort of super human, picking a phrase not quite at random.
It the laugher that gets me
I love the way Nick explains things😂
Pronunciation of the guy's name is Eye-Mo Koy-voo-nen - my wife is Finnish so I have learnt a few things...
No its not
@@riku3716 How would you spell it phonetically? There's a little bit of flex in my version as I can't think of a way to spell some of the sounds in the Finnish language.
@@UKSkafaceas a Finnish guy, that's how I would try to explain how his name is pronounced to English speakers too. That other guy is probably just a troll.
@@frozencrow8735 I thought they usual bothered the Norwegians!
@@UKSkaface nah you are mixing Sweden and Norway. We like to annoy Swedish people. Our relationship is kind of like brothers who love bullying each other but will gang up on someone who bullies either of us.
I've heard the story before but quite so, err.. animated.. 😅
Many of the Battle of Britain pilots were on Amphetamines just to keep them going..
If you're into Military Yarns have a look at Brian Shul's LA Speed Story about flying the SR71.. "We Bad..."
sliding away from the too hot fire is a very grunt energy when sleeping. No need to think about WHY you're moving, just find a new comfort spot and go back to sleep.
Imo is a legend, absolutely class. I bet this is the guy Sisu is based on. Wild.
Warrio jackmans i lost my drink
they use to give anthetamines/speed to soldiers in ww1 to keep them awake in the trenches
You guys should check out his story on the last war chief, Joe medicine crow
What. Are. You guys. Waiting for? React to his video about Jay Zeamer and the Eager Beavers already, it's easily one of his best videos.
Been hearing “higher than giraffe p” since highschool but to say it fluently in a serious yt vid? Takes balls & skill & nothing new to put the giraffe on an object so it’s even higher. But yet again, it’s almost a forgotten saying. Shouts to TFE for saying it, literally brings me back to when I was first starting to smoke & ask the plug? Is it good? “This is gonna get you higher than giraffe p”
Doom turtle/the thing back to back
Hes just doing his own thing living his best life 😂
Too high to die I want a t-shirt that says that
Charlie Sheen is the obvious person to play Aimo.
Algorithmic engagement comment.
I once accidentally did a quarter ounce of mdma in one go. I would have hugged the Soviets.
CTRL ALT (Delete button missing).....well.....fuck....
I want to know who got 1st place!!!
The same sort of idea goes on to this day, there's a famous incident during GWAT of US pilots on go pills dropping ordnance on a Canadian unit.
I'm at least a bit surprised that it isn't a requirement that after each battle one random combatant from each side gets tested for PED's.
It's about time we took war as seriously as the Olympics.
@@jimb9063yeah, they better not test negative or they're outta there
Rip fuel in the beginning stages of GWOT.
@@Sturm01 Still sold at Dollar Tree to this day, I always pick some up when going Stateside lol
he deleted woodereen
if Baltimore was in the army, lol
If you thought this was funny you need to watch Mrballens "the biggest Navel Blunder of all time" you can't make that story up
Russian winter soldiers beat the Germans and the French.
Finnish winter soldiers beat the Russians
Great! It is very interesting to see your detailed reaction to the film Robocop 1987. This is a cool movie 👍🔥🦾
Do you have any plans to do it?
Why would they?
