Looks awesome. Love the jammer arms. It's not available here in Australia but if I were to spec it up to the same level as the F100 (which doesn't come with jammer arms obviously) it would be almost double the price.
@@BenGoodbrand hi, no i dont. i just ordered something similar to F100 but low row foot plate is not included. been searching on the internet but its really hard to find. i will probably just find a metal bar insert it in the slot for landmine as an alternative. maybe add squat wedge too for better footing.
The 2 to 1 is because of the pulley system. Half of the load Is being carried by the side of the cable anchored to the machine and the other half is loaded to the other side of the cable that the user is pulling.
On the website it does claim 1.75 to 1. I dont know why they claim this ratio as other units with the same design claim 2:1. If the cable screws directly into the top of the shuttle. If it has on cable wheel on top of the shuttle it halves it.
Love ours. Are you using it for seated rows? If so what are you using as a foot rest? I’m sitting on the floor, thinking of making up a plate that attaches with a band bar but as the cables are offset to the legs it’s not that easy.
Did you get the 4 steel pegs? Apart from band attachment they are also used as a foot rest. I sit on my FID bench, on the backrest in its decline position. Gets me low enough but more comfortable than the floor.
Thanks Mark. I like both. The G6 has a leg press plate which is handy (still no stock available for mine!). The two areas where the Armourtech wins though is the 1.75:1 cable ratio vs 2:1 and the pins for adding extra plates for the stacks. I regularly add 30-40kg for lat pulldowns so without the pins I'd be doing alot more reps!
I hadn't seen this but I'd say the F100 is better value. It's cheaper, has more weight as well as pegs for adding additional plates, and has aluminium pulleys.
The pulley system would create a simple 2:1 leverage, the reason why it would be a little more than 50 kgs is probably the additional weight of the unloaded plate collars. Glad you added the left hand one since your construction vid, I was thinking that would throw off the weight balance when using both pulleys simultaneously 😊
All the machines I see produced now do not have adjustable cable pulleys from left to right , they only go up and down. I have a northern lights model that I can pin in place locking the rollers inside or outside the machine letting them adjust from about 6.5 feet to 2.5 feet. That’s the one thing the newer racks aren’t doing.
Great video, well explained, thanks mate! I have an Armortech Power cage but am thinking about upgrading to this or the F70, which is slightly cheaper.
@@BenGoodbrand Thank you. Would you be able to tell me the exact maximum height of this functional trainer? My current Armortech Power Cage PR100 is 219cm max height (with the Lat pulldown attachments). My garage maximum ceiling height is only 221cm.
@@AussieFreakGamers it's exactly 221cm to the highest point, the top pulley.leaving the plastic covers off the feet should give you 5mm extra clearance. Might need the Vaseline 🤣
The 2:1 weight reduction is because of the way the pulley system work . There a pulley attach to the top of the first plate and that reduce the force you need to pull it up .
Debating between the 6 post rep fitness with ares cable systwm or one of this functional trainer/racks......can anybody tell me one that sells that does not have a Smith machine? I heard they are useless
@Deer Phoria I bought a foldable x3 titan, a separate titan selectorized lat pull down and a separate functional trainer. Iam also buying a Rhino or squat max belt squat and ir sauna:)
@@chillout7862 I think you'll be happy with the F100. The G9 is good but changing plates will get old really quick. I love the convenience not the weight stacks, especially for drop sets.
Like most things these days. Still decent buying at that price. Here's a tip: ring them and you might just get a small but worthwhile discount...I did!
It's not ideal but it's probably more an aesthetic issue. Looks imbalanced. Because you don't go back to the full stop position when using them, it doesn't actually affect performance. Not sure why didn't pick this up as part of quality control though.
Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know about buying equipment for your home gym.
What do you think about the French fitness fsr90 I am in awe of the jammer arms it has me leaning towards that one

i am having difficulties finding low row foot plate attachment.
@@GajahMengaumTheBruce do you have the F100? It comes with band pegs that you can use for low rows. Otherwise they sell a plate attachment as well

Bingo!
In a 2 to 1 system, for every inch that the weight plate moves the cable travels 2 inches.

Great information and key points I had not thought about. Thanks!

Debating between this functional trainner and the pr 5000 with ares cable system??
Awesome video Ben! Just wanted to ask, what are your thoughts on the monster G6 or Force USA F100? Would they be better than this Armortech F100?

@@BenGoodbrand Thanks for the reply Ben! You've definitely made my decision much easier now :)
Great review, thank you. This machine looks the same as the Force USA F100 All-In-One Trainer
Thanks. Yeah they are very similar.
I wish I had seen this machine before buying the ts101
Did you consider inspire FT 2? I'm deciding in between this two.

Thanks for this vid, very helpful btw!
The difference of one side without the pins was surprisingly little, though some of my smaller clients did say they noticed.
You're welcome!

I've never seen anything like that. Are you saying the handles can be moved outward to create a wider crossover?
yes
Great video, well explained, thanks mate! I have an Armortech Power cage but am thinking about upgrading to this or the F70, which is slightly cheaper.
Thanks. It's a worthwhile upgrade. Opens up a much wider range of exercises.

@@BenGoodbrand haha, yes that will definitely be extremely tight fit! Thanks so much for the response, I really appreciate it :)
The pulley ratio comes from the number of cables holding up the weight bearing pulley - 2
where do you buy this and how much is this?
It's from Flex Fitness Equipment. Price is currently $5300 but the run specials and packages every so often. There are other models too.
The 2:1 weight reduction is because of the way the pulley system work . There a pulley attach to the top of the first plate and that reduce the force you need to pull it up .
Can you do a review French Fitness fsr90 please?
If you can convince French Fitness to send me one I'd be happy to do a full review😆
I know you know how the pulleys work, but since you asked, I drop you a comment 😂
Where is it made? I am trying to buy American made fitness equipment.
Best look elsewhere then 🇨🇳
Iam still debating on which brand to get, there are so many out there:(
True mate. Just take your time researching and reading as many reviews as possible to find the best one for you.

If you mean the landmine attachment it just goes into the bottom bar with a locking pin.
