With all due respect, there's no way Marci Ien feels as happy as she's saying in her role (indeed, she sounds as if she's saying the things she needs to tell herself to sleep at night). To be fair, this happens to all MPs; you go in as an idealist and Ottawa sucks it out of you lol It's just if Jody Wilson-Raybould, Jane Philpott, and Celina Caesar-Chavannes had their issues with Justin when he was more optimistic and "sunny ways" when he started his mandate, what are you gonna have when Justin has become more cynical and playing the political game seven years into power?

I mean, for instance, she's a Minister of the Crown in His Majesty's government and is pitching proposals like possibly taking the vegetables from the roof of George Brown (and she's unsure if it should be nominally costed or free). Those are the ideas of grassroots activists not a member of the Privy Council sitting at a desk with the Prime Minister. I used the other examples because the Liberals are the party in power. If it makes you happy, if this is how powerless Marci feels as a minister under Trudeau (a PM who at least pretends to delegate) how much more powerless would she have been under Stephen Harper who was the ultimate micromanager). Hell, she probably wouldn't have been allowed to do this interview (or would have to adhere to strict talking points pre-approved by the PMO making her sound like a robot). Take off your partisan glasses and call the balls and strikes as you see them lol.

Lock out all media that points out the fascist elements of dictatorship. Harper/ conservatives have dragged Canadians down so he/ they can represent Exxon Mobil Etc. As Harper told Canadians, we are the problem draining the country,and soon to become bankrupt like Greece. As Harper signs checks for Greece to help them out of bankruptcy, as their wealthy steal the money. A Republican agenda if I ever saw one, not to mention Andrew Shear, another American. I don't disagree with you , in what the Trudeau leadership has done to some of his female Ministers, it's hypocritical in some ways. But that is a part of political life. Elected leadership is about voters, and the policies that have followed. through, or not. It's par for the course to have Minsters fall in line with vtge party's agenda. But to muzzle the media to fall in line with a parties agenda,is the beginning of fascism. As for the conversation it was cute. Full of code talking. But then I don't expect much from a neoliberal/ conservative corporation loving platform like this. But I'm Old enough to understand the difference between someone who has a conservative mentality, and a liberal mentality. Now the conservatives have found their extreme right wing that coincides with extremists who call themselves "freedom convey". Another branch of american right-wing Vigilante domestic terrorist groups. Take your pick while we still have democratic elections, and if Trump gets back in. You should prepare like Ukraine, except we have no one to help us.
WELL DONE, a real conversation that has substance. I'm pleasantly surprised. Social programs create a sound, equal, just society. Vote conservative and say goodbye to your pension plans, medical, and all of it being sold to private corporations.

I hope she sees the light and moves forward from this criminal cabinet. We need great women as her to be doing anything else than backing the worst P.M in history!
