I had refused to watch this movie. so i decided to watch it the next evening and enjoyed it very much. It's worth watching again. That's more than i can say about some of these all black movies.
Good movie, great story line and a lesson to males and females....
If i coulda/woulda/shoulda...a classic story of loves lost...i liked it..
great movie didnt want it to end
This is such a nice movie.It all boils down to the choices we make in life. It's hard letting the person you love the most go, but it make sense if the separation is for the better!!! Does he/she takes care of you when you're sick? Wipe your tears when you cry? Starve so you can eat? Pray with you? Put up with your mess just because they love you? If so that's all you need. The past is the past, swinging on dead emotions isn't going to make your future any better.
I'm a movie fanatic, and I must say, this was a wonderful movie. I liked it mostly, because I can usually figure out how a movie will end(or come pretty darn close). This ending was a surprise to me, and it's hard to surprise me, when it comes to movies and the endings. Good job, guys! 😊
Wow. Forgiveness doesn't make the other person right, it makes you free. When you feel like quitting, think about why you started. Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves, but before that, sometimes or actually most of the time when it comes to matters of the heart, it's better to react with no reaction. It seems someone wrote a play on real life reality. Emotions can be really twisting en drowning. Asking God for guidance, wisdom en patience for every second of our life's is so important, coz one sec in our life's could change a lot in either way,one second in our life's could put us into regrettable situations. Though on the other hand,sometimes on the way to a dream, we get lost and find a better one. Eventually, one of the happiest moments in life is when you find the courage to let go of what you can't change!!

Great movie...that teaches us how to appreciate whosoever we have in our lives, and make the best of it. What is to be will definitely be, but I believe we design our destiny, because the choses we make in life determine our future...hands down

it felt like a stage play many times ..the dialog was delivered like it was being read or rehearsed kinda ''B''ish...but the plot was so engaging ,that kept the interest going...The Regina and Benita characters were well enough presented to make up for other weaknesses...it was good

Don, though low budget this was excellent! You are an extremely talented man. This film, unlike many other black films that I cannot make it through, held my attention for the entire 1 hr and 26 mins. I am only sorry that I ended up watching it for free on youtube. You deserve much more for the hr and a half I got. I hope you go mainstream soon. God bless you!

I agree. I think that when pay money to go to the movies this is what you want to pay to see in a love story/drama. This should be turned into a holiday budgeted film and bankrolled. I would even use the same actors/actresses.

Regina and Gregg should have been together because Regina was hood with a mission. Gregg on the other hand needed to be with someone in his age bracket. Terry and Benita should have been together. Really enjoyed this movie, looking forward to other great movies
I really commend you DJ Halliburton. This was a pretty good film. I like the storyline. I commend you because this is what I hope to do one day. I mean, I am writing scripts right now for theatre and hope later this summer to put on one of them. But I also want to do television (I have a TV drama idea already) and film (I have several ideas). Continue going forth. I'll be praying for you and I ask that you pray for me.
This was a really good movie. Good story line. I jst had to get over the accent or twang... Lol
where were the elders, for guidance. the father dating age mates of his daughter. the mother ??? the mother of the husband setting him up...cuz she dont like his wife...there boss looking to get with her.. no elders to give guidance and counsel to their marriage which is the foundation of a people . of course we will all make mistakes but that is why we have folk wth wisdom to guy and give direction when we dont know which way to go...let us not fell to share our stories...so that others can learn. thank you for the movie....blessings,

Great job Don! I, along with everyone else, wanted Terry & Benita to reunite, but I'm glad they didn't. That took the predictability out of the movie. Your scenery was awesome! I was just totally impressed!!! Tyler Perry better watch out

I have to be honest with you , this was one of the best independent movies of 2013 that I've seen. Although I didn't agree with some of the storylines , it was still honest , true , and decent. That is what's missing in today's films. It's nothing but sex , and that's the problem. I encourage you to continue to write more material like this. With the faith of God and prayer , you'll be able to do anything. Bless.

Loved it!! Terry needed more words in the script, imho. Too often, he seemed to just be standing and listening while others talked around him. Grandma!! And Benita was excellent!! Great work! Peace.
When I first started watching this movie, I was like this is lame but lets see what happens. Now I understand why everyone was saying it was a good movie. It was a great movie. Even though the quality of the movie wasnt that great the story was amazing. Most movies have a happy ending but this one didnt need one and now I understand why it didn't. Well done.
Great to see people of my hometown doing a project like this. It's a really great movie with a twisted unthinkable story plot. You're very talented in this line of work. Keep continuing to make more indie films, you have a supporter.

Dude you did an amazing job with Calm Before the Storm. What a great plot. An the acting was good for such a weighty script. What some people mayn't realize is that you don't just wake up one day with the ability to play these kinds of parts. That's what acting classes and studying is about. If they could pull off the kind of acting we normally see by Hollywood A listers we probably wouldn't be watching them perform for free on You Tube. An they would be making million.

Sad. Such a pity it did not work out the first time around. Both new partners took them away by force. Both got half a partner. A good reflection of what happens in many marriages, but tragic.
