Thanks. You are awesome! I'm not a very good guitar player so seeing you play helps a lot. I found the opening riff was the hardest with the timing/ picking. Also like the tabs, easy to follow. Subscribed
Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback!! Please keep in touch as you are learning and if you have anything I can do to make it easier.
same lmao I'm not even new at guitar it's just kinda annoying hitting strings that far away from each other, I assumed it'd be way easier than it is lol
Hahaha welcome to the club!! It becomes mindless after a while, trust me. You’ll do it without thinking about it, but it’s certainly not easy when you begin.
Thank you.
Welcome!
amazing work my friend !! have a great day you rock !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!! Back at you!
Awesome thank you so much 🤩🤩
Welcome ♥️
Very well done. On screen tabs are great
Thanks man!
It’s hard to hear the guitar itself (specifically in the chorus). It’s like this both in the song itself and in the cover (did you mute it on purpose?). In old albums, somehow the guitar stood out more strongly in the choruses, now it’s more like a passive background) Until I saw your cover, I didn’t even think that there was a lead guitar with such a beautiful chord sequence. Apparently Deryck really wanted to highlight the vocals.
Hey thanks for such a detailed comment and bit of feedback. A couple of things I should mention here: 1) as you mentioned, the lead guitar is very subdued in the chorus. I spent time with the guitar stem this weekend that I pulled apart using a stem separator and had to listen very closely to hear it. I did my best to pull it apart, but there are definitely some judgments I’m making in there, and I can guarantee it’s 100% accurate. At the end of the day, I wanted something that mirrored what I heard yet also was just a pretty track.
Leading to point 2) which is, when I played the lead track, I found it to be a poor representation of the original to really have it sit heavily on top of everything else. I wanted it blended with the rhythm sequence, so I didn’t kill the volume. So yes, I kept them balanced intentionally. Hopefully this answers your questions, and hope this helps! Cheers.
@@Trad_Baylor Thanks!)
@dvsmallville no thank you! Appreciate the feedback. I will be thinking about it on future covers to make sure I’m adequately highlighting the active riff (even though people have given me feedback that the lead riff is too loud in some of my covers and they can’t hear anything else LOL). Can’t please everyone I suppose, but I’d rather have it the way you suggested.
That guitar is sick!
Thanks man I freakin love! It’s a PRS Starla SE. Super light weight and the action is very light too on the strings. Very easy to play! Has a humbucker as well, which is nice when anything has distortion.
Great job dude!
Thanks man!!
You should cover How The End Begins. Would be interested to see the tuning.
Thank you for the rec, I’ll look into it!
