    10. Torque the special nut (12) to 170 N m (125 ft lb)
while rotating or oscillating the wheels a minimum
of three turns in each direction.
    11. Loosen the special nut (12) until it is free.
    12. Torque the special nut (12) to 34 N m (25 ft lb). If
the slot in the nut and cross hole in the axle are not
aligned, further tighten the special nut until the next
slot and cross hole are aligned.
    13. Insert the cotter pin (11) and bend the ends to secure the cotter pin.
    Saludos

Dimitri Stewart thanks for watching! If you want to get into this industry depending on where you are in life I would recommend a dedicated trade school for mechanic work. If you have experience most industrial repair companies are short staffed and need bodies in service vans and are willing to hire people of different experience levels. Here in Florida there is a ton of warehousing and so there are a lot of opportunities for industrial technicians. Crown, Raymond, hyster/Yale, ring power, Toyota are all great places to start.

Magnolia Mobile Service Thanks for the info to answer a few of the those questions I am actually in trade school for electro mechanical technology and have about a year of welding/ equipment repair under my belt and years of working on cars. I just applied to crown and that is how I stumbled onto your channel.. have you considered doing a van your as well I think it’s be a awesome video! Thanks for responding!

Dimitri Stewart that’s great! I worked for crown for almost 9 years. That’s a good place to start and they are one of the largest. They have a really good entry training program before getting thrown to the wolves 😆. You are definitely on the right path. If I can clean up my van one of these days I will do a tour lol.

Nice video!! I would love a tutorial on rebuilding the reach pantograph on a RR5000 series reach. I have one to do soon and have never done one.

promaterial I don’t know if UA-cam would allow the amount of swearing necessary to make that video 😂 not to mention the length of the video. I appreciate the compliment. I have only done about 10 panagraph rebuilds in my career so I don’t really come across that job that much. It would make a cool vid though! Most people never get to see those types of jobs. If you need some help or advice you can message me through my Facebook magnolia mobile service page. Thanks for watching!

@@magnoliamobileservice4534 Yeah I'm not looking forward to that job. I won't be starting it any time soon with all of this virus nonsense going around but once things calm down I may take you up on that PM. Stay safe out there.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would ever ignore the fact that a jack can fail. Block the machine up while it's suspended in the air.
Also, its not good practice to pull tire and wheels off while being up so high. You run the risk of tickling the spindle which is an expensive and embarrassing mistake.

Thanks for watching! I had a block of wood underneath on the ground that would prevent the machine from falling completely to the ground. Maybe not the best practice. I’m not sure what tickling the spindle is but I have changed hundreds of these and never damaged one. Fully blocking is the best policy though for sure.
