Dovey Bridge Road flood at Machynlleth Sept 20 2023

The causeway needs to be finished soon, and hopefully will. These flooding events are only getting worse.
I had to make a run up o the Corris Railway this morning and found myself confronted with this on the way back.
I have an electric car, so no worries about water ingress into the engine, and I also have 4x4 response offroad and wading training. Not a smart thing to do unless you know your own and your vehicles abilities.
Interestingly for the critics of the scheme, the road under the railway bridge is bone dry, as a result of the bund and drainage scheme that is part of the same project.
