When it built the .c file, why were there no files from the building process put into your working directory? I'm looking for a C++ compiler that I can write simple console and GUI apps with using C++. I feel that Vistual Studio is too bloated, and C++ Builder (Borland) is just a mess.

bro answer is visual studio 2022. But with ur system configuration i will say use visual studio code. Or CodeBlocks as you mentioned. Remember I told visual studio code. Not Visual Studio.
@@GeekyScript bro I use VS code for editing code but u know that it is very inefficient to build projects in vscode that's why . Is code blocks is fully featured IDE or I should visual studio previous version which requires less ram than the visual studio community 2022
@@sumitvishwakarma1075 have u tried using extensions in vscode? The best will be always Visual Studio. Try with 2019. If that helps. But I suspect it will be hanging and slow. Try closing other apps like chrome while using vs. Maybe use mobile for googling stuff during that time..
What happens if you have an old version (13.01) of codeBlocks? Does installer install over old one or does it delete old version first? Is it required to uninstall old version first? Old version doesn’t work correctly with Windows 11!

Try building program first. Make sure to look at output messages at bottom of screen.

how do i get a terminal window? i dont have a option to select under: setting -> environment: "terminal to launch console programs" is greyed out.

probably ur old version didn't uninstalled properly.. Is it working now?
