we do learn Tamil language at school starting as from aged 6yrs till 11yrs and then 12yrs till 14yrs depends on the secondary school you are attending if offered.Some of us learned till age 18yrs. However we don't speak it as mother tongue at home since we speak the native Mauritian language.
