So, it would have been better if Napoleon instead did not overestimate himself in his first rule and didn't try to bite more that he can chew (trying to conquer Russian Empire) - if he stopped at some point, he would have had all the chances to stay for long and implement his project of rebuilding Europe
He never tried to conquer Russian empire. It was Alexander who declared war on Napoleon and when Napoleon came with army Alexander just ran away like you know who. Napoleon started to chase the running Russian army to quickly beat it and make another peace. War of 1812 is manipulated by Russian and English propaganda.
