I'm hoping to get out Tuesday. I work Friday-Sunday. Things are finally beginning to warm up here in the land of the frozen tundra. Got 6 decent channels last week. Released them all. On future episodes can you show us how you pick your spots based on the depth finder? I have the same Garmin but have trouble finding the creek channels and drop offs.
Your best friend, if you don't have lake charts on your fish finder is to use navionics its $15 a year if it hasn't gone up, and you can use it on your phone. it will pinpoint your location using gps, so you can tell where you are on the water in accordance to what you see on the chart. I have found and fished old flooded bridges in reservoirs, and had success almost instantly. But as far as finding them on sonar, if you're using 2D down scan or downimaging, youre just looking for when it goes from shallow to deep. And everything you see is whats called "history" so when it pops up on your screen its already behind you. I use the Humminbird Helix 7 Mega Si/Di, but its the same concept.I will go over it in my next video, so you can get a visual.
