The Zenfone 5 has a 6.2 inch Full HD+ IPS display with an iPhone X like notch at the top.
The Zenfone 5 has the Snapdragon 636 underneath along with 4/6 GB RAM and 64 GB Internal Storage.
It sports a 3,300mAh battery and has a 12mp rear OIS+EIS camera with a secondary 12mp 120 degree wide angle camera.
The Zenfone 5 runs on Zen UI which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Why are these phones not coming to Indian market soon? I have a budget of 17k and I am wondering should I wait for Nokia X6, MI8 SE, Lenovo z5 or this one to come to Indian market.

If the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 was Released in India under 15k budget the above price segement, should be covered by Asus in india
yes should be launch in India but should launch in this June otherwise it is going to be too late & everyone will start to think that it is not going to launch & will buy another phone
If this phone comes to India at 25k ₹ budget then asus again going to miss the market. They need to bring this phones base variant at 15-17k ₹ bracket orelse no one gonna buy a 26000 phone with snapdragon 636.

400$ for a Snapdragon 636 ? It's a bit pricy, but I like the design and overall quality of the Zenphone 5. If this drops to around 300$ , it will surely be a must buy
Ash, your videos are cool but I really wish you would review phones which are readily available in India rather than some pie in the sky scorcher from china! Having said that, your reviews are well produced and I find them quite useful for the phones that I can buy in India. Cheers.
i bought max pro m1 and this is my second smartphone from asus.the first being zenfone 4(oldest model) which had a hell lot of bugs and what not.overheating.and many other issues.
facing the same heating issues on my zenfone max pro and tons of bugs.i think asus dont really care much about in the software department.
26k is perfectly fine considering Nokia 7 plus. I believe this one's gonna have a better camera. The phone itself looks amazing and I guess this one's gonna do better than Nokia 7 plus overall.
We already have Zenfone Max Pro with same chipset much below the expected price of Zenfone 5, even if it is launched it won't find any takers unless pricing is very aggressive.
I love the display the A.I functions etc but it wud make a hell of a deal if the price was 20-22k and other competitors such as nokia offer snapdragon 660 for the 26k price tag

Love the phone build, camera and specification but if they launch it in India for price above Rs. 20000 then i think it is difficult to beat competitors..
If Asus launches it around 400 dollars then it's going to be a fail in the Indian market. If it launches around 17k rupees then it can be considered as a good choice.

I demoed a mall unit and the cameras are honestly... Very disappointing. The pictures were very smudgy and the details are lost on capture, even in pretty decent light.
