Fun kit.. loved the subject. For a kid of the era.. very much worth the time, and yet again, learned new things.
Hi and congratulations for your job! I'm happy to see your excellent result made of patience, precision and skill.
I've been a fan of Space:1999 since 1976 and I've never forgotten it, in fact it's part of my being. But I'm not capable of making these excellent creations (my maximum was the airfix eagle and hawk) so I rejoice in seeing those of others.

Excellent work! This is one of the best Eagle kits I've seen built up that isn't an exact reproduction of the filming model, those are almost impossible to come across today but I remember reading the SPACE:1999 special issue of Sci-Fi & Fantasy Models magazine and the intense work done by a devoted fan to reproduce the Eagle down to the last detail, that was 25 years ago! Today, we have these really nice kits that are several leagues ahead of the ancient and toy-like Airfix kits, you have a superb addition to the display case, Mal!

I'm working on this kit with the standard passenger pod. So far it has been a great kit, engineered well. I was slightly miffed by the lunar module that was used for detail under the truss. I ended up rebuilding that area. I just could not "un-see" the Apollo LM. Your build is awesome and I hope I get as good results form my attempt. I probably have a week or two before I complete my attempt at this iconic spacecraft. Thanks for posting these videos and best wishes!👍

Thanks for the video. The Passenger Module should have the option to be released from the main body and re-attatched by way of magnets. The same for the Command Module.
That could be done. The spots where the screws go in could be replaced with 2mm magnets. I just didn't go that far. :) Thanks for the feedback!

I have the 1/72 version in my stash, yes indeed. I really am thinking about a dio from the Metamorph, either planetside or in the hangar bay. Just have to make choices. :) Thanks for the feedback!

Beautiful job, is that the original colour the plastic kit came in? If not I must have missed a video! I'm currently building the 22" Eagle 1 model and the sprue plastics colour is a lot whiter. I'm loving the slightly off white look of yours though, it seems much closer to what I'd expect an Eagle to look like! Brilliant stuff sir!
Thank you.. Actually it's painted in an off white- specifically Citadel's "Wraithbone" spray. It got the just off-white that I was after. I hope that helps and thanks for the feedback! Good luck on Eagle 1! I have that on my list eventually! Thanks!
@@syrmalcolm Looks great. I'm a bit too far into my build to change it now, I went with the Ford Diamond White spray they used during filming, or at least so I'm told lol

@@syrmalcolm I don't have the experience and patients to build one, not even the determination. I have other hobbies, sci-fi stories is one of them. There are UA-cam videos of someone in either Norway or Sweden who is building a 24 foot Eagle, that's almost one quarter of the full size of the dimensions that are based on Roberto Baldassarie's (may have spelled his last name wrong) Eagle Bluprints.
Hah.. I have seen that project here and there. That's incredible work. (and dedication. hah)
