I swear that guy in the background must be a millionaire I hear his voice on a whole bunch of videos and then call belmonte s teammate Darren what a big dummy
Drummer.Bowler considering what happened in last years R/H doubles when his ball kept coming in light, you would think he would have moved. His move last year was further left and slower ball speed. I don't think he could have done that this year considering how far left he was. So idk if his mindset was hey just hit the pocket and make your spares, but I definitely thought he would have made a move.
Thought process is that one of his opponents were struggling on the left lane. While Belmonte was leaving 10-pins he was staying clean and filling frames. He didn't move in frames 1-3 because it was too early in the match. By frame 4-7, unless my opponent was striking, I probably wouldn't have moved due to the unknown risk of ball reaction in a major ball move and line change. By the end of the game, seeing that D. Tang was just not doing anything, Belmo just figured, stick with what I'm comfortable with and get my spares. If Tang was stringing strikes, I think he would have made the transition. Just my two cents.
his look in practice is the only thing I could guess. He was bowling second meaning his look was better than Bill's so it probably just came down to shot making and not coming heavy enough into the pocket.
It's a one game match and you only get five frames. You take the look that can get you too the pocket. If the scoring pace was higher, his approach may have been different.
michael and darren have a great chemistry, you could almost think they're related!

If Belmonte didn't get that lucky messenger in the 4th, that would've been 5 flat 10's in a row. Y didn't he move?
