Not being hand drawn 2d is an epic fail on Disney’s part. This one looks terrible

Hey, we did ask for a Mufasa story we always want to‘s life before he became king so basically this was a story we wanted this live. Action prequel is telling its own story unlike some remakes that rehashes the old animation movies is one tells its own story

Disney should have animated this Mufasa movie. It would have been both nostalgic and refreshing, especially with all the c-gi being a predominate thing.

Well to be fair when it was the animated movies people did but I agree that making a live action I doubt people asked for
I think had they styled it, at least in part, after the 90’s animation, it probably would’ve CRUSHED as long as it was well written. I guess we shall see!

You made some good points. Don't know about how I feel about live action but atleast it's a new story. As you mentioned the lion king was amazing due to cutting edge animation for the time but what endeared it to everyone was that story. The story was so good that even if you watched the original animated version 30 years later, when the animation has grown leaps and bounds, you still love the movie.
In this one, we get to learn a bit about his past and if the story is as good as the original lion king, it will still turn into a classic. And I really hope its good.
And maybe we did want it. A lot of people really wanted to know what happened between Scar and Mufasa and how Scar turned out to be scar and not Taka (his real name) and how Scar was supposed to be king and Mufasa ended up being the king.

I personally really enjoyed the new live action Little Mermaid, as a HUGE fan of the OG and also wanting to be a Mermaid because of it when I was a kid, rewatching it as an adult it..... well let's just say the live action Made her falling in love with Prince Eric more organic, like there was more than "I wanna be a human and this guy is cute!". This Eric had more of a personality and depth. If Race is a factor for anyone, remember Mermaids aren't real :)
I can 100% respect that! Definitely not a race thing lol. I generally feel like they feel void of soul against the originals, BUT it’s cool that others enjoy it. The issue with the 2019 was the characters had no facial emotions and the terrible Beyonce song they added in to one of the best parts of the move D: I once read for a movie to be great you should be able to watch it muted and know what emotions the characters or having and that for sure didn't happen lol

No one asked Toy Story 4 and Live Action Jungle Book either, but they where great success.
Also written well. Both were right before Disney stopped putting care into their films. It’s not that the new remakes are necessarily bad, it’s more that they’re mediocre at best and could/SHOULD be better than they are! There’s no denying that Disney’s latest box office numbers are way down from Toy Story 4/ Jungle Book era.

@@CineparkRangers True, but soon we'll get some awesome sequels from Disney, like Inside Out 2, Moana 2, Toy Story 5, Zootopia 2 and Frozen 3. So I just hoping that Disney will make a comeback with these movies.
@@matepoos7467I hope they do! I remain skeptical on the Disney sequel front as well, but I loved Frozen 2 more than the 1st one and Toy Story has yet to have a bad film IMO. We shall see! Dude you’re right nobody asked for it so don’t complain about it. The constant complaining about every piece of entertainment coming about is exhausting just enjoy a new movie.
I agree, I have other videos praising movies that I like! By and large, this isn’t a review channel, BUT I also believe that things don’t change if you don’t voice your opinion. I have lots of them. We gonna get a lion king 2 remake down the road after this. BECAUSE this is the backstory of mufasa and scar or whatever is going on to the point where we might see where zira comes into play as well as the exhile and such so that when we get lion king 2 remake: boom money. but please don't touch lion king 2 disney. we want something new. you ruined your own 100 year with that wish movie.
Cool NEW things would be nice! The reboots started fun, but just feel stale now. Let’s get back to some original ideas and new properties to fall in love with.

You’re right! Some great folks in these comments have told me that THEY have been wanting this movie! Which is cool. The point of the video is that Disney has been missing the mark for me personally as of late.

@@growlie2676that statement, while true, misses the point I’m making. I think it’s fair for viewers to expect great movies from a company that historically has a great track record with their films. It’s just the past 5-7 years that there has been a dip in quality.
But that’s why I make these videos every now and again. I love talking to people like yourself about these topics; it’s fun and it’s also ok for us to have different opinions!

They should do Tarzan as a live action remake it would look amazing if they handle it correctly, focus on the characters, the world building and the storytelling as well as the songs by Phil Collins it'll all be good I can totally see Henry Cavil as Tarzan and Daisy Ridley as Jane Porter.
You have me 1000% in with Cavil as Tarzan!!!
@@CineparkRangers Yea he really looks the part same with Daisy Ridley I could see her doing all the comedic scenes that Jane has like with the whole Baboon chase and when she first meets Tarzan they could also have the subplot about Clayton and Tarzan being related because as it turns out Tarzan's family name is Clayton and William Clayton the guy we saw has the same last name so that would technically make them cousins that's something they could add to the live action film and show the dynamic between the two.
@@andrewcabral963all of that sounds sick. I love Tarzan a great deal. Phil Collins did not have to throw that much sauce on the soundtrack, but he did it for us 🔥
@@CineparkRangers Yea imagine the scenes of Tarzan swinging on vines and sliding on tree branches but in live action I can totally see them recreating the scene of when Tarzan and Jane first meeting and they touch hands except it would be Henry Cavil as Tarzan and Daisy Ridley as Jane doing it.

@@CineparkRangers Awesome! Well I’m excited for it because it’s a new story that I wanted to know about. It’s like answering how Don Vito became the Don in Godfather part 2 which this movie is using a similar storytelling technique.
