If you read the trailer’s description on UA-cam, it claims that Scar was originally the intended heir, and his family took an orphaned Mufasa in. The trailer itself claims Mufasa doesn’t actually have noble blood in him. Needless to say, that’s a BIG retcon to TLK lore.

You can't rush art. Or life. Something Disney no longer respects as common sense, and thus we have this trailer. I'll be back in 3-5 years when the part 2 is released.

Why? Nostalgia and live action. Easy peasy money. But this one lacks that comparison value to the original, so it won’t make as much cash. Might still make money though, animal movies have universal appeal world wide.

He's morally betterrrte, he's not like the Winsdor or whatever the fuck HE'S STILL A KING THAT WAS CHOSEN BY WHAT THE FUCKING GODS IT SEEMS I DUNNO WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHAT IS THIS WHY IS THIS HOW IS THIS
alternatively: they did it because they're lazy and having a character fight to be king is an easy way to create a story with zero effort. not everything is an attempt to "woke-ify" shit, the assholes at Disney are just lazy, hence every attempt they make to "woke-ify" something is terrible instead of actually thought out. If you can't immediately tell something is Disney faking being "woke" with 100% certainty then chances are they're just being lazy some other way.
I guess it's not so much of a ''woke-ification'' but an actual attempt to give it some kind or development arch to Mufasa instead of ''yeah he was always meant to be king and that's it'' but more of a ''yes he was the undesired underdog and you will see how he overcame everything and transformed into king that you love''. Not that it makes it less of a senseless retcon, they just didn't think it through I guess.
It’s 100% to affirm that Mufasa would be nothing with the matriarchal lionesses making him into what he was, and not any patriarchal-related lineage (aka, a KINGLY dynasty)
I've heard Beyonce's daughter is voicing Kiara, Simba's daughter from The Lion King: Simba's Prime. Are they making a sequel or a prequel? Is there going to be a scene where Mufasa is looking down on everybody that's alive and they say a couple lines?
I looked it up and apparently it’s going to be both. Rafiki is going to be telling Kiara the story of how Mufasa rose to power, with witty commentary by Timon and Pumba, and that’s the framing device. So like a bad version of Lion King 1&1/2
i feel like theyve tried to add more faciel expressions to the characters but that just shows how stupid the idea of making them look realistic is because the look really uncanny with any amount of facial expression

25:02 I commented on the last video(Lion King) but I have to assume you didn't see it. I've been suffering from Tendonitis in both feet and occasionally my right hand for upwards of 5-6 years now. I know it can be no joke. I'm a delivery driver and not being able to move my feet correctly while getting in and out of my car can be a killer. I don't know what kind of health insurance or medical program you have available to you, but make sure to request muscle relaxers. When the tendon is injured it tightens, and pulls on all the muscles attached. Those muscles then swell and the tendon cannot heal while the muscles are swollen. Muscle relaxers allow the tendon to begin healing faster and this causes a significantly less amount of pain for the patient. I'm in the US and I don't have health insurance so I don't have access to muscle relaxers. If I go to an urgent care at the time of extreme swelling they give me a 6 day portion of swelling reduction steroids. I've had friends who had extra after a prescription and gotten lucky with other people having old left over prescriptions that they've given me, and every time I've ever used muscle relaxers once a day, I've had instant relief that lasted for weeks. I hope you see this, or at the very least a more stream based fan can pass along this information. Hope you can get better soon.

I love how I can’t tell any of the lions apart, it really helps me connect with the story to not know the difference between Mufasa and Scar. If only there was a way to bring a single drop of creativity into the mix, but alas it’s a live action movie so the lions’ appearances can’t be changed at all

It pains me the "live action" Lion King made over a billion dollars. Just why? Hopefully this one flops.

i'm genuinely astonished at how ugly this movie is. modern video game cutscenes look better than it.
Is it bad that I thought it looked like a modern video game cutscene…?
There's a good reason you feel this way. The 3D modeling engine the film utilizes is based on Unity, which is primarily used as video game design software.
I was working at the cinema when The Lion King was premiering and parents were often asking me if I recommend this movie. I always answered "Do you want to hear official answer or my personal one?"
Any mention of the “just can’t wait to be king” giraffes triggers traumatic memories of that level in the SEGA game. I don’t think I ever made it past that point.
You need to hit nearly perfect frame to pass that damn double jump. I'm still angry at that too.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN WITHOUT A DROP OF NOBILITY?
He descends from a line of kings. You know, the kings of the past in the sky that look over the members of the ROYAL FAMILY?
WHY, DISNEY? WHY? What is the purpose of this retcon? It's "woke"? I hate the way that word is used with all the fibers of my being, BUT it does read like an attempt to "woke-ify" Mufasa. If Musasa isn't descended from a dynastic line of kings, what does it change? Does it make him more good-er? He's so much better-er because he's not from a royal family see??!!!!????!!!?.??!!!???! He's morally betterrrte, he's not like the Winsdor or whatever the fuck HE'S STILL A KING THAT WAS CHOSEN BY WHAT THE FUCKING GODS IT SEEMS I DUNNO WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHAT IS THIS WHY IS THIS HOW IS THIS
Uh............you good man?
alternatively: they did it because they're lazy and having a character fight to be king is an easy way to create a story with zero effort. not everything is an attempt to "woke-ify" shit, the assholes at Disney are just lazy, hence every attempt they make to "woke-ify" something is terrible instead of actually thought out. If you can't immediately tell something is Disney faking being "woke" with 100% certainty then chances are they're just being lazy some other way.
@@waterloggeddoggo Yes.
No.
“Why isn’t part 2 out?!?!”
Adum: id like to afford living and for my hands to work past the age of 40
Why did people paid a billion dollars to see 2019 Lion King in theaters?
I've heard Beyonce's daughter is voicing Kiara, Simba's daughter from The Lion King: Simba's Prime. Are they making a sequel or a prequel? Is there going to be a scene where Mufasa is looking down on everybody that's alive and they say a couple lines?
I looked it up and apparently it’s going to be both. Rafiki is going to be telling Kiara the story of how Mufasa rose to power, with witty commentary by Timon and Pumba, and that’s the framing device. So like a bad version of Lion King 1&1/2

Adum is my favorite UA-camr. He's honest and cares about his videos. Take your time Adum, can't rush art.
Yeah after learning about the actual process that is required for creating pieces of media, I really don’t feel right demanding that creators rush their art, cuz creativity is a long process, and everyone’s dealing with crap. Adum’s managing a lot, and GRRM is trying to find the best way to right out a logical continuation of a massively complex story, if it’s rushed, it’s gonna turn out bad.
