If one of my coworkers privately confess to me that they've been murdering women -- or anyone, for that matter -- I'm reporting that sh*t IMMEDIATELY. It blows my mind when someone is investigated and the people that know the suspect are like, "Yeah, one time, he told me he'd killed some folks and buried them out in the desert."

Fear of reprecussion, fear of false information being put out, fear of being a false accomplice. I can see as to why some dont report or take that confession seriously, even though between coworkers, might as well take it as a "joke" or "a yarn being spurred" for fun or an embellishment

If I may reframe the situation: You suspect that your co-worker has already murdered several people, but you have no evidence, so there's no guarantee that he will be arrested if you report him. There is also no guarantee that he won't find out that you talked to the police.
Besides that, if he was innocent and just has a dark sense of humor or whatever, few things can ruin a person's life faster than getting investigated for murder. I'm not saying you're wrong, but there's a lot of reasons for why people don't report things like that.

Saw the uncensored video of the Final Broadcast on Facebook before it got taken down. You could tell that the gunman was very experienced. He went into the room, shot the DJ twice without hesitation, snatched his gold necklace, and left. In and out in under 5 seconds or so. Watching the DJ take his final breaths with the upbeat radio jingle playing in the background is one of the most unsettling things I've ever seen.

This Viola Beach incident is so tragic. I especially feel heartbroken over the victim that drowned rather than dying on impact; I deeply hope he was unconscious for the ordeal, at the very least. And yet, I’m so fascinated by the “Why?” for this one. My first instinct was that maybe Craig had a medical issue, or a sudden mental health crisis that resulted in a murder-suicide. But then rewatching the video reconstruction, it does seem like they could be impatient. I usually see people pull into shoulders like that when they’re trying to cheat around traffic. Plus the car does stop, as though they’re hesitating or considering what to do, before accelerating. I might look into this more in my free time because I would really like to know the perspectives of the victims’ friends and family. What was Craig typically like as a person? Was he a reckless person, or was all of this out of character for him? Did he struggle with any mental illness? All the members, were any of them impatient or reckless people? Any reason that any of them would want to do a spontaneous stunt to try to beat the lift bridge? Or could this be a tragic accident where Craig somehow hit the accelerator by accident, and panicked before he could gain control of the car? God, it really is such a tragic case that will probably never have answers. I feel so terribly for the victim’s families.

I do have a thought as to what happened to the manager of the band who drove off the bridge in Sweden -- night blindness. He may have started to have some problems seeing in the dark, but thought it was just minor and didn't take the time to have it checked out. The answer may be that it wasn't anything more sinister than he was impatient to get back, didn't see the barrier and, although confused about hitting it, then panicked and tried to drive away, not realizing there was even a bridge in front of him. In low light, a person with night blindness can't see much at all.

Used to do overnight security in that Albuquerque development area. The area was mostly poor residents with inherited land from failed expansion pushes back in the early 20th century, stuck in-between in the patchwork vitalization efforts that had numerous semi-private neighborhoods going up. The number of earth movers and increasing human presence since 2004, bodies were not going to stay hidden. Or maybe he hoped they would be covered by construction equipment leveling off the ancient lava fields, that deterred earlier development, by building up on top of the land instead of digging down into it.

They were on their first US tour and some drunk motorist was driving down the freeway in the wrong direction.
Both sole members of the band were killed, and there's a written account on one of their live vids from somebody who was apparently on the scene.
Some trucker who pulled over to help and who had witnessed their final moments.

I've been born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and still reside here...But I remember when the first bone was found, the local news went crazy on this story, there were daily updates on the case...It started with that first bone, and the body count continued to rise as the days went by...Until about a week later the number had climbed to 11 total bodies/bones found...The number has actually risen to 13, as years later they found that one of the set of bones belonged to the pregnant escort, and then another bone was found years later that they expected was of yet another victim...It is locally believed that Montoya was the killer, as the killings just so happed to stop when he was killed, after ending the life of an escort...He made regular trips out to the mesa, the exact spot of the dumping site they found all those bones in...I know coincidence isn't enough in court to determine guilt...But some coincidences are just to coincidental to not be true...Most locals believe if he had his day in court, he would have easily been found guilty, as even the Albuquerque Attorney General has gone on record stating he would have indicted Montoya on thirteen charges of murder, great bodily harm, and even as far as tampering with evidence...

Completely fake the Tilted Head Woman story may be, it does give that delicious tingling feeling that makes us seek out such creepy tales. I would guess the first person to see it just noted that she was the only one looking a different way and went, boom creepy potential. Either way, loved the tingles.

Prostitution and all similar jobs are so dangerous in general. You meet up with a total stranger and have to let your guard down for money, it's so easy to pin down a person who's letting their guard down and hurt them. While I am not a fan of that industry for many reasons, it would be a good thing if there were more websites to contact these people where customers have to verify themselves in some way, so that a crime can't be committed so easily. The fact that all the bodies found had their job in common comes to show how seemingly easy it is to harm them. In a lot of murder cases involving hookers, it's often women who struggle financially and have no partner, so their disappearance goes unnoticed often.

Not to be “that person,” but I had a friend in college whose neck was contorted almost exactly like that from birth. It’s really aggravating how “cursed images” are so often people with disabilities or differences, or images altered to look like someone in that way. It really helps reinforce the idea that atypical people are wrong.

The bridge deaths: Despite sober, depending on the age and eye sight of the driver, comparing my driving experiences at night, with ambient lights, in the dark, in an unfamiliar place, I can see very easily how this could have occurred. I am often confused in the dark driving and at times, lighting can add to the confusion. There is no mystery here, only a tragic story of the lives taken because someone was too vain to go get glasses.

BS. He had no problem driving around the cars in front of them and I'm sorry but if you don't see an effing barrier in front of you then you are not fit to drive (seriously, stay away from the wheel!) and if you don't stop after driving through the barrier than you are insane. To sum this up: The guy intentionally drove around the cars in front of them and used the side of the road, he drove through a barrier and then sped up and drove off the damn bridge. Not to forget he had four other people in the car with him who would have said something and noticed something was off the moment he drove through an effing barrier. This was either murder suicide or all five guys Darwin Awarded themselves because.. men.
